As Reio made his way home. There was a large rusted metal fence that stop atop an equally tall concrete wall that surrounded a dense tree filled garden. The area had not been properly maintained in many many years. It was obviously old and forgotten. The walls were so old that there were cracks and creaks in them. There was even a hole big enough for a child to crawl through ,but this place was no place for a child ,and any parent with even a shred of common sense would never allow their children to roam anywhere near the building.
In its glory it was evident that these walls were designed to keep something out ,or in? How about a history lesson shall we? Many many years ago a large wealthy eccentric businessman had traveled across Kalos ,and many other regions as well. Most notably Unova ,and Johto. The original owner was a man by the name Nathaniel Lionhart. Nathaniel Lionhart was a traveler ,and he traveled to all sorts of places. Most notably he traveled to the Relic Ruins of Unova ,and The Alph Ruins of Johto. Some say he even traveled to Hoenn ,and discovered an ancient ruins in the desert of route 111. Though some people believe that he merely seen a mirage brought about by the heat. One day Nathaniel came come after a long trip of excavating within the Relic Ruins. Nathaniel had come down with some mysterious sickness ,and died that night in his home in Kalos. Mysteriously enough, the rest of the research team that was there with him years ago had also come into a mysterious illness and died shortly afterwards.
After Nathaniel's death they say his spirit haunts the place though for the most part that seems like just superstition. A boy who snuck into the place two years after his death claimed to have seem a yamask wondering the courtyard looking at its mask and crying uncontrollably.
42 years later, Nathaniel's manor was reformed into a mental institute. Walls were built, bars were placed over windows ,and four guard towers. One on each side of the house. Large trees and other plants were placed around the house. Almost as if someone wanted the house to be hard to find. All sorts of unspeakable and immoral practices on its unfortunate patients. After three years of horrendous acts had occurred within the buildings walls, an undercover investigation was performed ,and the investigators were beyond shocked to see the results. The facility was quickly shut down ,and many of the facility's workers were arrested and given life time sentences. According to local lore a boy with psychic esper abilities just up and turned into a kadabra. However there have never been any proof of this ,and anyone with any common sense would easily ignore this as pure fantasy. During those three years of inhumane experimenting, a large grave yard was built behind the manor.
15 years later the place was turned into a hotel ,but after several people disappearing the place was shut down once more.
10 more years later, the manor war reformed into a home once more, and was later sold. Strangely enough, the people who sold the house never told the buyer the dark stories behind the house. The man was a quiet man who didn't speak much. Not much was known about the man, his name was Fredrick Wellington. Fredrick originally lived in Hoenn ,and brought his dusclops to Kalos with him. Sadly, Fredrick never knew the full history behind his new home ,and one day he simply disappeared. Maybe he fled his home ,or maybe something more sinister was involved.
A year after Fredrick disappeared, more and more strange things began happening around the house. Doors opening by themselves, lights turning on despite the fact that there was no longer electricity running to the house. The house was mostly shrouded ,and the gates leading up to the house were all locked with heavy gates and chains with padlocks. Though strangely enough, on certain nights the gate on the south east side of the manor would open for an hour before mysteriously closing. It was like the manor was just begging people to visit ,but I pray that if anyone should ever see the gates open they should run far away from the building ,and remove any idea of entering the place for there was no telling when the next time the gates will open ,or what you'll find upon entering the house.
16 years later, at this point in the story Reio was now floating through the north west gate, being a ghost has its perks. "Home sweet home" Reio said. The manor was behind several large trees and bushes. Vines had grown all over the walls. The towers were like large fingers sticking out of the ground. The house was covered in so much plant life that it was easy to overlook. The visible parts of the exterior was fading ,and the paint was chipping away. Most of the windows were blackened with smudge ,and were next to impossible to see out of. Inside the front entrance was a large entry hall ,and at far end of the room was a large fire place with a picture of an young gentleman above it. The most notable feature on the painting were the eyes. The eyes were so well drawn that they almost looked life like. At the bottom of the picture was a worn name plate which could barely read out, "Fredrick Wellington".
Inside the building were two pokémon, a cofagrigus that went by the nickname N ,and a alakazam that went by the name Jason. Without further adieu, Reio floated through the front door letting himself in, "I'm baaaaaaack, did ya miss me?" Reio said cheerfully. Reio let out a hearty chuckle as he floated through. N stood silently looking at two fossils. a anorith and a lileep fossil. Jason sat next to a chess table ,and was moving around the pieces ,and thinking about all sorts of strategies.
Fun fact: To anyone who never seen X-Men 2(a movie made in 2003) Jason Stryker is a mutant with psychic abilities ,and was experimented on.
