Me: I set up a poll on my profile to see which Dog vs Cat battle you wanted to see, and this one was voted! Dog vs Cat is a classic debate.
Pain: But these aren't your typical household animals, oh no... The power of fire is strong, and these 2 are powerful enough to handle it.
Eeveechu: These aren't the type of strays I'd want roaming around my neighborhood. My yard will be blown to pieces if either is within 50 Ft...
Peridot: There's Houndoom, the Dark Pokémon.
Me: And Pyroar, the royal Pokémon.
Pain: He's Mewtwofan and I'm Lord of Pain!
Eeveechu: The name is Eeveechu151.
Peridot: And I'm PeridotPikipek!
Me: And it's our job to analyze their movepools, stats, and abilities to find out who would win, a Death Battle.
Pain: Houndoom is a quadruped, canine Pokémon that is mainly black with a long orange snout and an orange underbelly. It has small, red eyes and a black nose.
Eeveechu: Around its neck is a white band with a small skull-shaped pendant on its throat. There are two white bands on each of its ankles, as well as three rib-like ridges on its back.
Peridot: Houndoom has a long, skinny tail with a triangular tip and three clawed toes on each paw. On top of its head is a pair of long, curved gray horns. These horns are smaller on the female than the male.
Me: We will be using a male for this battle. In a Houndoom pack, the one with its horns raked sharply towards the back serves a leadership role. Leadership is determined by fights within the pack.
Pain: Its gut is full of toxins, which are used to create fire. This gives Houndoom's fire a foul odor and the wounds it inflicts will never heal.
Eeveechu: Houndoom appears near rough terrain. Its howling induces shivering in other Pokémon, and often sends them scurrying back to their nests.
Peridot: Houndoom has 50 Defense, 75 HP, 80 Special Defense, 90 Attack, 95 Speed, and 115 Special Attack as well as the moves Nasty Plot, Flamethrower, Dark Pulse, and Reversal.
Me: Houndoom's ability is Unnerve, which makes opposing Pokémon too Nervous to eat their berries! Don't ask me how that works..
Pain: Being a Fire/Dark Type, Houndoom is Weak to Fighting, Ground, Rock, and Water, Immune to Psychic, and resistant to Ghost, Steel, Fire, Grass, Ice, and Dark.
Eeveechu: Houndooms Blasts of Fire have enough power to destroy a fallen log, and its dark pulses can make foes sleepy.
Peridot: I'll happily put Houndoom on my list of 'Dogs never to pet.' Along with any form of German Shepard.
Me: Pyroar is a quadruped, leonine Pokémon. It is mostly dark brown with light brown legs, tail tip, chest, and face.
Pain: A male Pyroar has a large, dominantly red mane with gold streaks forming pattern resembling the Daimonji symbol 大. The shape also resembles the symbol for fire 火.
Eeveechu: In contrast, a female has a long, gold and red mane extending from its forehead to the whole length of its body. Pyroar's irises are tinted azure. with black pupils.
Peridot: Pyroar live in prides, led by the male with the largest mane of fire, and the females protect the pride's cubs. Pyroar viciously threatens any challenger with a fiery breath exceeding 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
Me: The Pyroar in this battle will be a female with the moves Noble Roar, Attract, Flamethrower, and Bulldoze.
Pain: Pyroar also has the ability Unnverve, which makes foes to nervous to eat their berries. Where have I heard this before? It also has 66 Special Defense, 68 Attack, 72 Defense, 86 HP, 106 Speed, and 109 Special Attack.
Eeveechu: Pyroar is a Fire/Normal type, meaning that its weak to Fighting, Ground, Rock, and Water, Immune to Ghost, and resistant to Bug, Steel, Fire, Grass, Ice, and Fairy.
Peridot: Pyroar is incredibly Prideful. I would be too, if the first move I learned was Hyper Beam.
Me: Alright. The combatants are set.
Pain: And the votes are counted!
Eeveechu: Let's end this debate once and for all!
Peridot: It's time for a Death Battle!
(It's nighttime, way up on the top of Wela Volcano. Many Pokémon are walking around.)
(A pack of Pyroars are in their Cave, the female caring for the cubs while the male hunts nearby.)
(A howl echoes through the night.)
(Houndoom starts running, coming across the pack of Pyroar)
(Houndoom sees the cubs, and sees the opportunity for a midnight snack.)
(The Female Pyroar jumps infront of Houndoom and Roars)
(Houndoom barks back)
FIGHT!
(Pyroar tries to get Houndoom to back off with Noble Roar, but Houndoom just raises his Special Attack back up with Nasty Plot)
(Pyroar uses Flamethrower, it misses Houndoom.)
(Houndoom uses Dark Pulse, causing Pyroar to Flinch)
(A powerful burst of Flame comes out of Houndooms Mouth, causing Pyroar to step back as it hits her.)
(Pyroar bursts forward again and Bulldozes Houndoom)
(Houndoom is knocked to the ground and shoved into a rock.)
(Houndoom gets back up and shakes it off, using reversal to throw back the same damage to Pyroar)
(It does a lot of damage, throwing Pyroar into the side of the mountain)
(Pyroar growls and stands back up, realizing how much Bulldoze did, deciding to use it again)
(Pyroar rushes towards Houndoom, a look of shock appears on his face.)
(Houndoom is thrown off of the Volcano and onto a stretch of land under it.)
(Houndoom stands back up and rushes back up the Volcano, reaching where Pyroar is. He uses Nasty Plot)
(Pyroar brings his Special Attack down again with Noble Roar)
(Houndoom launches out a big Flamethrower, throwing Pyroar a few feet)
(Pyroar turns around, before turning back towards Houndoom, attracting him)
(Houndoom falls in love, but uses Dark Pulse anyway)
(Pyroar is getting very sleepy, and the pain is getting to her she falls down to her knees, unable to move.)
(But Houndoom is Immobilized by Love)
(Pyroar looks up, injured, and uses a huge Flamethrower, scorching Houndoom, leaving nothing left but a skeleton)
(She drags herself back to her cubs and lays down, asleep, letting the Litleos lick her.)
KO!
Me: Though Houndoom did have superior stats, Pyroar trumps him in literally every single other aspect. Pyroar had a diverse movepool that could answer everything Houndoom tried to do.
Pain: She could lower his stats to match hers with Noble Roar, have Houndoom not attack her with Attract, and destroy him with a powerful Bulldoze, mind you, Houndoom has very low Defense.
Eeveechu: Pyroar also had the tactic advantage. While Houndoom has enough Firepower to burn a log, Logs in both worlds are very flammable, even more in this world because of grass being very weak to fire.
Peridot: While Pyroar on the other hand has fire that can reach temperatures of 10,000 Degrees Fahrenheit, or about 5600 Celcius. To put that in perspective, the surface of the Sun is predicted to be around 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit, and you can't survive on the sun.
Me: All in all, one hit from Pyroar would do more than just strip Houndoom down to a skeleton, as I wrote it.
Pain: The winner is Pyroar.
Next Time on Death Battle!
Each Generation introduces a new line of three stage normal birds.
In Generation 5, they also made 2 Counterparts.
Birds of 2 stages, 1 Male, 1 Female, that evolve late in the game, and can be found in different games.
Braviary vs Mandibuzz.
