Electrical boi. He's one of my main OCs, but I rarely draw him because of his spiky freaking hair. Drawing spiky hair is absolute torture, especially when it's shading time.
@-AlexTheMimikyu- I've actually been attempting to study pictures and such to try to learn better anatomy, along with looking at my own arms/legs/ect when drawing to try to make my anatomy look a bit better. Shading and figuring out how clothing folds work is one of my main priorities at the moment, although I should probably figure out how anatomy works first I'm actually really not sure how to do clothing textures, as my main art app doesn't have many texture options at all, and I just don't have the patience to go through and add textures myself by hand. I also have Autodesk Sketchbook though, which has a ton of brushes, so maybe I can find some good texture brushes there.
Thanks for the advice by the way! I'm hoping to improve my art a lot during summer this year, so any advice is helpful.
@Midnight Heart okay, i know this is kind of hard to do once you've already learned a stylized art form, but i really suggest learning anatomy in at least a semi-realistic style if not fully realistic, but it helps you learn shading and proportions a lot better, trust me. like right now in your drawing, the way the lineart is and the minimal shading is you can't tell what angle the bottom half of the arm is at. there's little clothing texture and folds shown, so it makes the character overall feel flat.
Saw your avatar and I was like "I don't remember seeing this artwork yet Did I like it?" And I saw that I hadn't yet and I HAD to fix my mistake. Ain't no way I continue without liking this.
