Sunlight streaked through the walls of the apprentice's den as Silkpaw's amber eyes flickered open. She got up and walked out of the den with a yawn, and sat down, giving herself a wash. It was warm this morning, signalling the heat the day would bring. Ivystar padded over to her apprentice with a soft smile. "So, ready for training today?" She asked.
Silkpaw rolled her eyes. "I guess."
Ivystar sighed. "Honestly, Silkpaw, lighten up." She shook her head and walked over to Sparkpelt and Fernsong, discussing what they'd do in training today.
Silkpaw narrowed her eyes. "I would, if you only knew how I feel." Ivystar was a great mentor, but she always seemed to not indclue Silkpaw, never taking her battle training, and instead making her help with the elders, and with hunting. She just wished she could have a normal mentor. Silkpaw turned her head and looked at her sister, Flowerpaw, and her brother, Tigerpaw. She was jealous of them, no doubt. They had Bristlefrost and Dovewing as their mentors. Tigerpaw caught Silkpaw's gaze and padded over to her, grinning. "Guess what me and Flowerpaw are doing today!"
Silkpaw grunted. "What?"
"We're going to be battle training, and we get to spar eachother!" Tigerpaw squealed, like a kit.
"Sounds great.." Silkpaw muttered.
"Whats wrong Silkpaw?" Flowerpaw asked.
Silkpaw had already walked away. Since they where kits she felt like second best, even her mother seemed irritated by her. She sighed. "One day, I'll get the respect I deserve"
