Part 9: Fight as one/ Last Triforce Shard
After the events at Gerudo Town, the Phoenix Warriors went to the Forest Village, the placeholder of the last Triforce Shard. “Are you sure your okay staying with us princess?” Karl asked Zelda. “I’ll be fine and besides, we are already far in the Darklands”. “Okay everyone!” Link exclaimed “We’ll get some lunch here and then head out for the shard!”. Afterwards, the Warriors went to the local Forest Temple. They were given permission to explore it for the shard. “There’s too many paths inside this place! Maybe we should split up so we can report when we head back.” Link suggested. “Sure Linken. But be careful, I don’t want a 13-year old Swordsman getting lost in here.”. “Chill uncle! You worry too much.”.
Link went into the western path of the temple. He then reached a pedestal which held the last shard! “Wow, too easy!”. “A determined young man you are. But you lack wisdom...”. “Who’s there!?”. The foe then revealed himself. “Ah, just a plain old monster guy. I’ll make quick work of you!”. “I won’t be like the others though, as I am the commander of Ganon’s army!”. “So? That only gives you a little more toughness right?”. “Not just more toughness, but skill too! Oh, how rude of me not to state my name. I am Ghirahim! But I like to called Demon Lord Ghirahim.”. “We’ll just beat you li-. Oh-no, I forgot I told everyone to split up, that means....I’m all alone!”. “Exactly! Your pathetic uncle can’t save you now boy!” Ghirahim said creating a magical, black sword. “Now let’s see if you are the Hero of Hyrule! Let’s see how powerful that so called “Legendary Blade” is!”. “Legendary? You talking about me?”. “Shall we see?”. “Yes, I think I will see!”.
Link engaged the demon lord in combat. The two seemed equal! Ghirahim sliced and attacked gracefully while Link blocked with his shield and counter attacked. After a while, Link gained the upper hand and landed a clean slash on his opponent. “Heh! How’s that for Legendary?”. “You think you won? I was merely going light on you, now you’ll face true punishment!”. Ghirahim plunged his blade into Link’s leg making it bleed bad. “Like I said Link, your uncle can’t save you now!”. “Your right. But I don’t need my uncle right now. Cause all I need to beat you is Fi and my shield, cause me and the Phoenix Sword fight as one!”. “As you wish!”. The injured Link continued the fight, but was losing and couldn’t keep up. Suddenly, Link fought through his pain and cut open Ghirahim’s chin, causing blood. “You are truly a fine fighter, I admit defeat.”. “Why would you give up?” Link asked suspiciously. “Because Once you get the Triforce of Courage, Ganondorf will just kill you. I am just his general, not an Assassin. But when we do meet again, don’t expect mercy!”.
“Aw man, this leg injury is killing me! Oh well.....”. “At least I have the last piece of the Triforce of Courage!”. “Now I can report back to the Warriors!”.
