Everything was normal in my life, until it came.
I was sleeping in my bed one night. The wind howled. A twig banged on my window. Suddenly, it's dark shadow floated up the stairs. It's eerie gracefulness gave me chills. It let out a loud screech.
I knew it was looking for a body, and now it had found mine. There was nothing to do, but wait until it engulfed me. As the shadow closed around me, I felt myself changing. The rough fabric of the hood bonded to my skin, digging into my arms, legs, and neck, causing so much pain that I screamed, but the thick black hood blocked all the sound. My eyes rolled into my head, and it was over.
Now I am forced to wear this cloak for the rest of my life, if I even have one anymore. I walk down the streets, my eyes completely blank, looking for someone to comfort me. But no one looks at me. No one sees me. For I am covered by the hood.
