Pokemon No.1: Rumble The Emboar.
To be honest, I could've gone with Snivy, but the Virbank and Castellia Gyms would've KILLED me. So that's why I chose Tepig. It actually turned out to be a SWEEPER and was mostly the reason I beat Burgh. It ended up being my favorite starter and I started to use it in any Unova copy I could get my hands on.
Pokemon No.2: Lily The Leipard.
I didn't wanna get a stupid Patrat, so I got a Purrloin. It's Fake Out and Night Slash did me good, but once I realized I didn't have a surfing Pokemon, I switched it out for guy. Lily was on my team for a long time and I really didn't want her to go, but it was either her or Zoroark.
Pokemon No.3: Rouge The Lucario.
I was walking around Flocessy Ranch, looking for a Pokemon that could beat Cheren(The first gym took me the longest.). I stumbled apon the fighting type Riolu and was like; "Eyyy..." So I caught it. After an ember and a few Poke'Balls I caught it. It became a Lucario on Route 4 and it became a sweeper. It's bone rush managed to beat Elesa and Rouge became an essential part of my team.
Pokemon No.4: Voltriller The Magnezone.
What is with me and Magnezones? I caught one in Alola and now one in here? I got the idea from the dude outside of the Virbank gym who said to get a Magnemite to help with the Gym. I caught one and was set. In Chargestone Cave it evolved into Magneton, and then again into Magnezone! I forgot that was where you evolved them. It was a strong addition and I liked to have it there.
Pokemon No.5: Whimsicott (The OC is named Serene)
I got Cottonee from my Pokemon Black game when I was like; "I want a grass type!" I evolved it into Whimsicott during my travels in Driftveil when I hit it with a Leaf Stone. Soon after, I started using it more often and it became crucial to my team. It can hit hard with moves like Solarbeam and Hurricane, as well as sap up hp with Giga Drain and Leech Seed.
Pokemon No.6: Zoroark (The OC is named Claw)
I still had a space on my team when I got into Driftveil and when one of the 7 Sages offered me N's Zorua I was like; "Heck yeah!" So I got it and it became a powerhouse during my fight with Clay. It became a good Pokemon to use and was crucial in battles with gym leaders and Team Plasma. It can wreak havoc with Punishment, Night Slash, Night Daze, and Shadow Claw.
Pokemon No.7: Guy the Relicanth (The OC is named Fossil.)
When I was a stupid kid playing Pokemon Black, I named my Relicanth Guy. Stupid. When I was in need of a surfing Pokemon, I traded Guy over from Black and used it in place of Lily. It has Rock Head which means it doesn't mind Double-Edge's recoil. It's Anctiant Power can raise its stats quite a bit, it's Surf is good for Double battles with Whimsicott, and Waterfall and Dive (I switch out the two quite often.) can beat the Pokemon quickly.
But yeah, that's just my team and the OCs that they make. It's everything they've gone through that makes them, so have fun, play Pokemon, and most of all, appreciate your team. You don't know what good they'll do you.
