The Coat of (Ch)Arms

StellarWind Elsydeon Happy Charms day, Folkses!

To celebrate our eleventh ongoing year of being Crazy and Proud, I was wrangled into creating an appropriately-commemorative background for the event... And my brain spontaneously brought up coats of arms and heraldry as well as the sacred Trifecta of Derp and the creature that became our unofficial mascot of sorts - the Shiny, Volt Tackling Fearow.

Several days of Photoshop and cursing at lineart later, here we are - complete with a snazzy Latin version of our motto! (Many thanks to @baratron who came up with the translation - that's the second time she saves me from languages I have nearly no grasp on.)

Here's to many more years of 'Charms and - appropriately enough for the Corner - to many more years of creative awesomeness.

    I've once actually had an idea of parodying the Great Seal of the United States featuring the SVTF rather than a bald eagle to be emblematic of awful fanfics/RP instead - bit of a tribute to the SVTF's original genesis as the spawn of a particularly dumb n00b that became a meme all on its own right. Never got around to it though. Heraldic (or quasi-heraldic) things are an absolute pain. xD
