Xenon started following Styx again while she brushed off some dust from the battle. Her parents had told her that there would be bad Pokémon in the outside world, she just never expected to meet them this early. Still, she had seen so little of what the world had to offer that it wouldn't make sense for her to go back home just yet. Styx looked back at her.
"We're almost there. Just make sure that you don't lose me, since the way to get to Refuge is... circuitous to say the least. I'll be walking fast, so stay behind me at all times."
Xenon nodded.
Styx walked up to a door marked with a strange symbol. It looked like a diamond with swirls running through it. Styx put his hand on the door.
"Are you ready?"
"Yes."
Styx opened the door, and a dark mist flowed out from within. Styx walked in with Xenon trailing behind him, and he closed the door, leaving them in almost complete darkness. Xenon kept her eyes firmly fixed on the back of Styx's head while he made turn after turn. After what seemed like an eternity, Xenon saw a bluish-green light in the distance. As they got closer, she could see that it belonged to two large torches with unnatural flames burning on them.
"We're here," Styx said while walking towards the door. He lifted up his hand and knocked on the giant wooden door with the same strange symbol as before. It was a series of knocks in a pattern that almost made a song. Styx stepped back from the door, and it opened to reveal daylight, which hurt Xenon's eyes, which were adjusted to the murky darkness from before. When her eyes adjusted, she saw what looked like a smaller version of the town they were just in. There were Pokémon everywhere, from Cutieflys to Braviarys to Dragonair. Xenon took a second to take it all in, her eyes wide in childlike wonder. Styx looked over and smiled.
"That's the usual reaction. You see, I helped build this place to help other Pokémon who didn't have a place to go. We also offer boarding for traveling Pokémon like you, since most don't have money, let alone money for a place to stay for the night. However, some Pokémon, like Rex and his gang, don't see worth in something like this, so they try and destroy it. That's why getting in here is so complicated. We have Eidolon make the Shadow Mist you just saw to keep intruders out. Oh, Eidolon is a Duskinoir from Sinnoh. He may seem intimidating at first, but he has good intentions."
Suddenly, a flustered looking Heracross ran up to Styx.
"Um, sir? The-the Council is having a meeting, and... and they need you there as soon as possible..."
Styx looked down at the Heracross, who was looking up at him with nervous eyes while shifting from foot to foot.
"Alright, tell them I will be there in 5 minutes, since I need to show Xenon here where she'll be staying for tonight. Thank you, Keelan."
Keelan bowed slightly before flying off to what Xenon assumed was the Council Hall. Styx looked back.
"Well, let's go, shall we?"
Styx led her to an inn-like building. He walked up to the counter, where an Ampharos was sitting by a computer screen.
"Nariko, Do you happen to have another room tonight?"
Nariko looked up from the computer screen and smiled.
"Yes, we have a room on the third floor. Who should I book it under?"
"Would you please book it for Xenon here? She's going to be staying here for the night."
Nariko turned and smiled at Xenon.
"Hello, I'm Nariko. Nice to meet you."
Xenon returned the smile.
"Nice to meet you, too."
Nariko gave Xenon the key to her room.
"You'll be staying in room 302. If you need anything, I'm down here from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and Neliah will be here from 10:00 PM to 12:00 PM."
Xenon looked over at the wall and saw a picture of Nariko and a picture of an Aegislash, whom she assumed was Neliah.
"Thank you," Xenon said. She turned to Styx.
"Well, as you heard, I have a meeting to attend to, so good luck, and I hope to see you again soon."
He bowed and walked out the door. Xenon went up to the third floor and found her room. It was decently sized, with a small bed and a clean bathroom. She suddenly felt wiped from what the day held. She walked over to the bedside table and found a spray bottle. There was a hand-written tag on it.
"Thank you for staying at the Forest Inn. Please take this complimentary Hyper Potion and enjoy your stay!
-Nariko"
Xenon had heard about Potions before. She sprayed some on her paws, which were still damaged from the battle earlier. There was still a substantial amount of the Hyper Potion left in the bottle, so she left it on the bedside table so she could use it later. She felt even more relaxed. She went over to the window, where she saw the many Pokémon walking to and fro. The sun was starting to set, and she watched as the sky exploded into different shades of red, orange and pink. Just as the first few stars were appearing, Xenon flopped on the bed, ready for what tomorrow held.

Yeah, this was a quick drawing to give the symbol some life.
