Steampunkemon: Steampunkemon! Sora, the flying type trainer

Remember the sketch I posted last week? Well I finished it, and here it is. This will be part of a project I called "Steampunkemon", in which I'll be placing trainers in a steampunk universe.

About the AU

All of the characters I'll be publishing would live at Justice city, a place that's ironically full of corruption. Battles are payed very poorly and, unless you are able to win a tournament, you won't be able to live as a trainer. Pokemon are sold at insanely high prices, so a lot of robers are searching for easy prays to sell. Getting to the wood it's to dangerous for a common citizen, so only the ones who have a very strong pokemon alongside can visit them to catch some more.

About the character

Name: Sora Kajitsu
Pokemon: Skyfall (Swablu)

The Kajitsu family used to have a lot of money and live in one of the best houses in all Justice, all their money came from their mail service, which consisted in an efficent messaging system via Swablu. They used to have thousands of Swablus and about twenty Altarias to send for the hardest shippings. They were succesful, until the telegraph began to become popular.

As the years passed, the family mail became more difficult to mantein. By the time Sora was borned, they just owned three Swablus and an Altaria.

Sora's grandfather sowed in her his love for the sky, taking her a couple times for a ride on his old airplane, which became worse and worse with the time. When Sora became nine, it wasn't able to fly anymore.

The family fell into an horrible crisis when Sora's grandphader was diagnosed with cancer, being forced to sell their last pokemon to pay the treatment. The only one they left was a little egg the Altaria had left with her, which Sora decided to keep to herself.

The treatment got her grandfather a last year of life, in which he tried to teach to his niece all he could about aerodynamics so she'd be able to fly once he was gone. He also helped her training her little Swablu she decided to name Skyfall.

Sora's grandfather ied when she was thirteen, and since that time she had worked hard on training her pokemon, trying to fly and repairing the old airplane.
