Something Wicked This Way Comes...

StellarWind Elsydeon So. It's that magical time of year where shades of orange and black cover all, the scent of pumpkin spice everything is in the air, children and cosplay fanatics roam the lands and harvest candy for dark unholy rituals (involving, presumably, spiking their blood sugar to dark, unholy levels) and spooky, scary skeletons wage bloody war - or at least, would have if they had any blood.

This is Halloween.

So to celebrate, here's some seasonally appropriate Pokémon. (And a Mega Gengar Moon - for after all, Gengars rise from shadows, and is a planet's shadow on the moon not the ultimate shadow?)

Edit: Might as well submit this to our current Halloween #flashchallenge .

    I can't say I think of Ariados as particularly 'scary', but then I find spiders adorable. Ariados is definitely one of those species that really could have benefited from a mega evolution (or just a straight up third evolution, mind) because while I am quite fond of the things, their stats definitely make them more of an "RP" Pokemon than an "ingame use" Pokemon.

    Bloody incredible. This came out ridiculously awesome! I love everything about it, from the design itself, the lineart, the colours and tones you chose to use, and all the little details (like the face in the moon and tiny Joltik!). Brilliant picture, Gad! I hope that you're happy with how it came out because I adore it. ♥
