The species name is Lurcees, pronounced Lur-SEE-es, This particular Lurcees is Amethyst, my OC.

The rings actually have a purpose, they glow purple when the Lurcees is scared, red when angry, yellow when joyful, blue when The Lurcees is (about) to use an attack move, and a much darker blue when sad.
