This is the first set of creatures I came up with for the fantasy world (Ennen) I've been designing.
Left to right:
The blinding flash of the obvious is an odd little creature who, somehow, tends to bring out inspiration in people when it's around. In drawn pictures in Ennen, the blinding flash of the obvious is used where we might use idea lightbulbs. Elements: dream, light
The glass-eyed screamer is the result of a magic spell going awry near a glass jar. It started screaming continuously until the mage threw it out, at which point it reproduced. And continued to scream continuously. On the bright side, it's pretty easy to tell if you have an infestation of these. Elements: sound, crystal
The fizzblop is popular as a pet for those without a lot of room - they don't take up much space. They also feed on horror, making them popular for people who have a lot of nightmares. Element: dream
The face cube, imaginatively named by its creator, the mage Absalom of the Small Vocabulary, changes emotions based on which side is facing someone. It can be easily confused by having more than one person nearby - it'll try to be more than one emotion at once. Face cubes are popular among teenagers in a game not unlike Russian roulette - they'll sneak up on a face cube one at a time. If they end up being seen by the angry face, they lose, mostly just because the angry face tends to be murderous. Element: emotion
