When it comes to PC computer games...they're not exactly containing sad moments.
But one fateful day, on September 15, 2015...
Toby Fox screwed us over.
NUMBER FIVE: Asriel, UNDERTALE
If you get the manliest YouTubers to cry simply at the SIGHT of this goat child...
you're GUARANTEED memorable!
Asriel was born a normal child, but becoming best friends with Chara was a big mistake.
At this point, Chara wasn't the evil Mimi neck-snapping girl she is now...
...and then she got sick.
REAL sick.
When she died, Asriel took her to the surface to bury her.
The humans had mistaken the situation, and killed Asriel during which...
Both children became heartless murderers afterwards.
That's messed up!
That's like taking two innocent children and making them CLOWNS!
Speaking of children...
NUMBER 4
It all started with a single force, known as PSI.
Three kids wielded this power, and it got ugly a couple millennials later.
An innocent child named Ninten took out an alien called Giygas.
He had a son named Ness.
Giygas lost control over its own body.
Ness' soul was transferred into a robot in order to go back in time and kill Giygas.
Couple millennials later...
Another innocent child named Lucas and his brother Claus.
Lived a happy life, until their mother died.
Giygas had hypnotized Porky into doing himself beyond the grave.
Porky made robot minions who abducted Claus, leaving Lucas all alone.
They made a man out of Claus, making him the Meta Knight of the future, the Masked Man.
Lucas gathered some party members in order to take down Porky.
He ends up taking down his brother instead.
Claus and Lucas share memories of them as babies.
Claus dies.
THE FREAKING END
NUMBER 4: Claus' Death, Mother 3
This whole thing started with poor Ninten!
Lucas didn't want to see what he just did.
Getting Claus back was his only hope of living a good life.
And now he's gone.
That's...tragic.
NUMBER 3
I'm gonna be honest with you, even the most evil of robots tend to have their sad moments.
Even if they're in a trash movie.
If the plot was better, I'd put him higher.
But there is no other evil robot besides Mettaton that I know, but only one entry per game, so...
NUMBER 3: Metal Sonic's Death, Sonic OVA
Oh yeah, Terminator. Can't forget him.
Speaking of Terminator, this IS Terminator in hedgehog form!
After getting his ass kicked by Sonic, multiple times, Metal LOSES HIS LEGS and starts falling into lava!
I dunno about you, but seeing Metal die in such a way kind of breaks my heart.
I would've been happier if he exploded, like literally every other way robots die.
But NOPE!
The IDIOTS behind this movie though it would be a good idea to take Metal and put 'im in the trash can!
Sonic tells Metal to "hold onto my hand!"
Which means Sonic is SPARING him.
I haven't seen this much sadness in sparing since Entry Number 5.
Sharing this rivalry with Sonic for so long, and now THIS?
They even flickered Metal's eyes!
It's like they're rubbing it in my face or something!
Thank GOD he didn't die forever...
still, if you die with your last words being:
Metal: THERE IS ONLY...ONE...SONIC...
with what little you have to speak with?
That's not evil. And for once, I love it.
That blue hedgehog's still a bitch to him though.
Surprised he wouldn't say something like: "Hey, didn't I push you into lava or something?" to trigger him.

They made a SONG for this ragdoll before the game even CAME OUT!
To what little we know about what the heck is under Mimikyu's cloth...
it's still pretty sad.
It will do whatever it takes to look like a Pikachu and stay that way.
It knows what's under the cloth and it's a horrible monster.
Take it off? You'd better kiss your life goodbye.
Mimikyu doesn't want to hurt people. It just wants to live the normal life of a Pikachu!
Seeing as though THIS is the Pokemon counterpart of Metal Sonic, I automatically like it!
Still behind Jr. and Metal, but still pretty cool!

When I say "of ever" You know it's not just limited to video games.
This is a story that everyone remembers.
These are the characters that everyone looks up to.
Those are the things that truly make a story great.
These are the things that people make another movie from 9 years later.
If you take a moment this good and not put it as Number 1, you're kinda heartless.
So far, we have stories of death, realizing who you are, losing a loved one, twice, and hiding who you really are.
This is a combination of all of them.
The true "Because I care about you, Chara!"
The true "Hold onto my hand!"
The true "Beating Wario won't bring Claus back"
The true "I'm not Pikachu, I'm Mimikyu"
You can't go sad without the classic story of father and son.
The big hypeness from the 80s and 90s.
People have been waiting for this moment for about one episode.
Even today, people are still weeping about it.
And both of these moments are the same thing...
from the same universe.

NUMBER 1: Vader's Death, STAR WARS
Both moments were so sad, they had a tie!
Let's start with Vader.
For years, Luke has always wondered what had happened to his daddio.
Little did he know, he was holding off forces from what he's been looking for since he was a baby.
With the biggest plot twist of all time in Episode V...
things got sad a couple years later.
After being beaten out of anger, Luke realizes his pacifist self (Number 5), and decides to spare Vader.
Vader tells Luke to take his helmet off.
Luke protests.
But Vader only wants to see his son with his own eyes.
*sniffle*
Vader dies (Number 3 and 4) due to lack of breathing.
This entire moment?
Is just 11/10.
Vader pulled a big Number 5 too.
Technically, the entire galaxy's fate rests upon Anakin.
He chose the Dark Side, and that's what the fate was.
He realizes what he's done to the universe, and he wants to stop.
He's killed so many people, it's sad.
The amount of emotion in this scene is outstanding.
Just...bravo, Lucasfilm. Bravo.
