Pokemon Gyms. You gotta love love them. I mean, you get EXP, Money, and if you beat the leader, you get a Badge and a TM that can either suck or be useful. Gyms were the ways you could test yourself as a trainer, and we're always pretty enjoyable.
So, here's a thought. What would my Pokemon Gym be like? Well here, I'm gonna show you.
The typing of the gym, is something major. I mean, every gym has a Typing theme. So my gym would be based around Fighting Types. For a few reasons. First off, it's one of my favorite types. Pokemon who get to punch (and kick) stuff, is pretty badass. Also, because I think that dealing tons of Physical damage is cool, and is what Fighting types stand for.
Now my theme would be like a tower. You would have to climb ladders, cross bridges, and finally jog up a set of stairs, and then battle a guy named BlackBelt Rocky, before you can challenge me. (Comment if you get the reference.) There wouldn't be much of a puzzle for the basic idea, is that Fighting types are pretty direct. There is no tins of tricks, but purely bulking up and hitting stuff. So it would be a lot of movement, but less thinking.
Now for my team. My main Pokemon would be Infernape, because he is my favorite Pokemon, but I wouldn't start off with him. First, I would start off with a Scrafty. To throw off any trainer who brought a Psychic type and had it lead. If they sent out a Fairy first, then sorry Scrafty. Now then my team members would be as follows, Breloom, Poliwrath, Hawlucha, and Infernape.
Now for when you would challenge me. In the games, there is normally and order you challenge the gyms, and this one would be around the sixth or seventh, because while the trainers are strong, there is a less challenge to reach the top and battle me. The eighth gym leader should be strong and have a somewhat challenging puzzle.
So that's my gym. A giant obstacle course if you will. So I'm going to tag two other ‘Charmers to do a story about their Pokémon gym. The requirements are, what type, the theme of the gym, your team as the gym leader, and when do your opponents generally face you. Enjoy and Ry Burst out.
