“I have you now!” Tyrian cackled at his helpless prisoners, tied at her feet. “Vengeance is now mine!”
“Ruby” Jaune whispered, “how are we going to get out of this?”
“I don’t know, Jaune,” Ruby replied, “I’ll think of something”
Tyrian had captured Team RNJR and they were currently locked up in a location of military significance, an almost impenetrable defensive point.
“Welcome, to Fort Castle!” laughed Tyrian, “and you are never, EVER, getting out of here alive!”
Someone will come for us!” Ruby argued, “Yang, or Blake or someone”
Tyrian simply shook his head. “This Fort was impossible to breach with the united forces of all four kingdoms, you think whatever motley rescue team you have will be able to beat that?” he asked, “the best of the White Fang are here, armed with the most powerful and up-to-date weapons in Remnant, it would take an army to stand up to them. And now, I’ll make you suffer for taking my tail and poor Cinder’s eye…”
Ruby, Jaune, Nora and Ren paled as Tyrian began crackling unstoppably, preparing for the kill.
But that fate was not to be.
“Hey! Hands off my daughter!”
Tyrian turned around, to see a lone man standing in the room with him, a certain Taiyang Xaio Long.
“You have some nerve, huntsman,” Tyrian said “coming here alone”
“Oh, who said I came alone?” Taiyang asked
“Ruby Rose, Jaune Arc, Nora Valkyrie, Lie Ren, I am very disappointed in you for embarking on such a dangerous journey without consulting a responsible adult first” Glynda Goodwitch’s piercing voice cut through the air like a knife through butter, as she gracefully landed right next to Taiyang. “But I have to admit, your assistance in Qrow’s battle against this Tyrian fellow was quite needed”
A booming laugh burst through the room. “This seems to be the perfect battlefield for a fight for the ages,” Peter Port laughed as he entered the room. “When do we start?”
“Miss Rose” Another voice began as Bartholomew Ooblek zipped into the room. “We arrived as soon as we could, Qrow contacted us when you were captured”
He froze for a moment, looking around. “Does anyone have a combustible corgi handy?”
“Of course not,” Glynda began, “Why would anybody bring a dog on such a dangerous and importan-“
“Of course, I couldn’t leave Zwei alone, could I?” asked Taiyang, as the aforementioned pup bounced to him. Tai chucked, and threw Zwei up towards Ooblek, who hit him with his thermos. Zwei was launched towards Tyrian, who only narrowly dodged the fireball, and charged towards the group. Zwei meanwhile, began gnawing away at the ropes tying down team RNJR
Tyrian’s tail sped towards Taiyang, but was cut off by Port’s massive axe. Tai responded with a punch to the face, sending Tyrian stumbling backwards. Glynda and Ooblek both launched bursts of energy at Tyrian, sending him flying into a wall. Tyrian, seemingly unscathed, jumped back into the fray, trading punches with Tai while using his tail to battle Glynda behind him. Port raised him axe and swung, and Tyrian jumped up, landing on it and jumped again, soaring into the air. He came down behind Glynda and lashed out his tail, striking her in the back. However, before she could go down, Glynda used her telekinesis to send a few larger metal objects in the room towards Tyrian, and after he finished dodging, Tyrian found himself taking a Thermos to the face.
Ooblek went on the offensive, spinning his Thermos and blocking all of Tyrian’s attacks, retaliating with his own and pushing forwards. But Tyrian caught Ooblek’s Thermos and watched his eyes widen. He threw the thermos up and punched the unsteady Ooblek to the ground.
Port and Tai ran forwards, double teaming him and landing blow after blow. Tyrian, though faster, was no match for the both, until he managed to land a punch to Tai’s face. With Taiyang momentarily stunned, Tyrian jumped onto his hands, kicking Port with both legs, sending him flying into a wall. Unfortunately for him, Tai had recovered and Tyrian turned just in time to get yet another punch to the face.
He woke up a few minutes later, bound by the very ropes that Team RNJR had been earlier. The latter had been freed, and were, along with Taiyang, Goodwitch, Ooblek and Port, were staring him in the face.
Tyrian laughed. “So, you may have gotten me, but you’re surrounded by the White Fang’s best, and you’re already tired from beating me!”
“We are” Agreed Goodwitch, “But they aren’t”
Meanwhile, Qrow was casually walking across the ruined battlefield, drinking from his flask. To his left, a White Fang Soldier’s gun malfunctioned and exploded in his hand. To his right, a group of White Fang ran towards him, only for the lead one to accidently fire at a nearby barrel of Ice Dust, freezing the lot of them.
“You know” Qrow said, taking a sip. “You people are having the worst luck today”
He smiled, as he turned, grabbing and lifting up a White Fang Soldier that didn’t get affected by his Semblance.
“Who… are you?” asked the White Fang Soldier, fear in his eyes
“The name’s Qrow” Qrow said, “I’m here with the rescue party, decided not to actually go WITH them since bad luck and scorpion people never mix”
And with that, Qrow dropped the soldier and watched him scramble away. He walked up to a barricade, and the heads of about twenty white fang soldiers popped up, all firing at him simultaneously. A red flash appeared and cut through all the blasts.
“So, you finally decided to show,” Qrow said. “Raven”
Raven smiled, “couldn’t leave all the fun to you”
She rushed into the barricade, and Qrow could only watch as the the troops inside were decimated in mere seconds.
Fifty white fang soldiers burst into the main room, Qrow and Raven hot on their tails (literally)
“This all that is left?” asked Tai, “I’m almost disappointed, was looking forward to a good fight”
Qrow shrugged and everyone (Minus Tyrian) lept in, and in a few seconds, the White Fang were gone.
Tyrian laughed from behind them. “You may have won this time, but mistress Salem won’t be so merciful”
Everyone turned to see him, unbound, out of his chair.
“I’m afraid this is where our paths split, may we meet again”
And with that, he backflipped out of a window. Gone.
“Ruby” Jaune whispered, “how are we going to get out of this?”
