As we arrived in Shadow City a teenager on a skateboard almost ran into us, he had black hair and a purple cap on his head. "Hey I'm Austin." he said cooly hopping off his board. A Murkrow nested on his shoulder. "I'm Bella, and this is Lily, Brandon, Raven, and Charlie!" I said. Austin smiled, "You guys look pretty competitive, Bella I challenge YOU to a batttle, one on one." he said. I stared in shock, then Dove looked at me with blue eyes filled with determination, so I decided to accpet. "Dove I choose you! Use swift!" I said and white stars shot at the Murkrow, then Austin used agility so my next attack missed. I had Dove keep using tackles until Murray the Murkrow fainted. "I underestimated your power, take the Shadow Badge as proof of your ability." He said placing a black badge in my hand. "Wait, are you a gym leader?" I asked him, "Yes I am, and I will always be there for you." he said as he walked away holding his skateboard. "I wanna badge too!" Charlie whined. "Maybe next time." I laughed.
