So now I'm going through a phase of fighting games.
And all because of that one review I did yesterday.
Or reviews...
So naturally, I'm going to make a Top5 for both Pokken Tournament and Kirby Fighters for fighters and stages.
Of course, most of these characters will likely not make it into the game, so just a forewarn.
And for anyone who's caring at this point, no, Greninja is not going to be on this list.
And I'm not going to be saying the stages' names, just what they're based off of.
And the stages will be in no particular order.
So without further ado, let's get to the Top5 Pokemon and stages for Pokken Tournament!
#5 Fighters: Venusaur, Pokemon Red, Pokemon Blue, Pokemon Yellow, and Pokemon Green
F*ck Charizard and f*ck Blastoise.
Seriously.
Venusaur even has a Mega Evolution to work with!
Recently at the Nintendo Direct Mini, the first one this year, said that Aegislash and Blastoise were coming to Pokken.
And I was really happy they were doing DLC.
But they chose Blastoise over Venusaur.
It shows that even Game Freak themselves have no care for Bulbasaur.
We have to raise awareness for Bulbasaur!
In fact, if I made an evil team, it would be Team Bulb, taking away everyone's Bulbasaurs stronger and have people like them more.
Come on guys! Venusaur is underrated!
#TeamBulb
#5 Stages: Paniola Town, Pokemon Sun, Pokemon Moon, Pokemon Ultra Sun, and Pokemon Ultra Moon
Paniola Town is a concept we see a lot in the Pokemon games.
And Thalia Beach is solely based around Hau'oli City Beachfront's, well, beach.
And few are represented by Alola in the stages.
Plus, it could reference the ranches and day cares from every Pokemon game to ever exist. In the main series, of course.
Or maybe that town in Pokemon White that has the dirty floors...?
I have no idea.
Plus, it would be a nice detail to see mud on every fighter who plays on this stage's feet.
And it has some nice banjo music!
BB: IF AAAAAIN'T BROOOOKE, DON' FIDDLE WITH IT
#4 Fighters: Jolteon/Flareon/Vaporeon, Pokemon Red, Pokemon Blue, Pokemon Yellow, and Pokemon Green
GUYS.
WE NEED AN EEVEELUTION IN POKKEN.
Yes, we already have enough Kanto fighters in the game, but Espeon and Umbreon are already support Pokemon and Gen 4 already has the most fighters in the game!
And each could have their own class.
Jolteon could be Speed, Flareon could be Power, and Vaporeon could be Technical.
One of these has to make it into the game and the other two are support Pokemon.
Eeveelutions are a symbol of Pokemon, like Pikachu is to Pokemon itself.
So don't think we don't care about any more four-legged creatures in Pokken!
We see you, Suicune...
#4 Stages: Ecruteak City, Pokemon Gold, Pokemon Silver, and Pokemon Crystal
It would be really cool to see a rainy stage in Pokemon, since that's what happens most of the time in Ecruteak.
Maybe Lugia could be flying around in the background or Murkrows circling the stage where the battle is taking place.
Cute little boys and girls wearing ponchos with their Castform Rains and Azurills.
Ecruteak City was one of those cities that were just kinda there in Gen 2 and its remakes.
...actually, yeah, it was featured in the pilot episode of Pokemon Generations, so I can't say that Game Freak doesn't remember it.
Speaking of which, put in the Woopers while you're at it.
Patrick: They're just standing there...menacingly...
#3 Fighters: Unfezant, Pokemon Black, Pokemon White, Pokemon Black 2, and Pokemon White 2
Ha, funny story:
WE DON'T HAVE ANY FLYING POKEMON IN POKKEN.
And regional birds are a great way to put them in.
Gen 5 and 7 only had one Pokemon, but I prefer Gen 5 by hair over Gen 7, so...
Unfezant can use cool moves like Steel Wing or Fly.
And its Synergy Burst Attack could be throwing its opponent with its beak into a windmill and charging up a Brave Bird!
Yes, Staraptor is a possibility, since it can use Close Combat and it's from Gen 4.
But come on! Just ONE Pokemon from Gen 5! Please!
#3 Stages: Lugia's Cave, Pokemon Gold, Pokemon Silver, and Pokemon Crystal
Okay, now it seems like I'm over-treating Gen 2.
But Phos Volcano had the cool idea of fighting in a volcano, so why not do the opposite of that?
Lugia can be seen swimming around like a shark like Heatran like a spider in Phos Volcano.
Yes, we do have Blue Dome, but that's too advanced. Why not pull the Waterfall Colosseum from Pokemon Battle Revolution? (That's most likely not a thing...)
In fact, why don't you put in all the Colosseums from Battle Revolution and make them into Pokken stages?
#2 Fighters: Regice, Pokemon Ruby, Pokemon Sapphire, and Pokemon Emerald
Out of all the legendaries that could be in Pokken, my choice would have to be Regice.
Regice is the most underused and underrated regi out there. Regice is the only Pokemon that can kill you by just standing near it.
Plus, there are no Ice-Types in Pokken.
Except for Weavile, but Weavile's also part Fighting-Type.
We need a pure Ice-Type to represent the type.
And what better to do it than a Pokemon that can't melt?
#2 Stages: Chargestone Cave, Pokemon Black, Pokemon White, Pokemon Black 2, Pokemon White 2
Okay, so we have a stage that represents each type.
Blue Dome represents Water-Types, Old Ferrum Town Winter represents Ice-Types, Phos Volcano represents Fire-Types and Ground-Types, Dragon's Nest represents Dragon-Types, etc., etc.
But we don't have one for Electric-Types.
And there are so many ideas you can throw around, like Kalos Power Plant or Cerulean Cave.
But I think Chargestone Cave represents the Electric-Types best.
There can be Electric-Types like Magnezone or Electivire cheering them on, and people who look like that dude from Kid Icarus Uprising.
Plus, maybe the layout of the background with the stones can change every time you play to show that people have been there and pushed around the rocks.
There's no real gimmicks that need to be added to Chargestone Cave, if you just look at it you can see "Oh! Electricity!" nuff said.
Before we get to our number 1 spot, here are some honorable mentions.
Greninja, Pokemon X and Pokemon Y
...
Cerulean Cave, Pokemon Red, Pokemon Blue, Pokemon Yellow, Pokemon Green
What better way to introduce Rock-Types and Ground-Types than a cave where you can find Mewtwo?
Golem, Pokemon Red, Pokemon Blue, Pokemon Yellow, and Pokemon Green
There are so many types that aren't in Pokken, and Rock/Ground are ones that need to be in it. Plus, it opens up a whole new world for joke characters!
Hitmonchan, Pokemon Red, Pokemon Blue, Pokemon Yellow, and Pokemon Green
Hitmonchan was MADE to be in Pokken! Nuff said!
Garbodor, Pokemon Black, Pokemon White, Pokemon Black 2, Pokemon White 2
It would be hilarious to see Game Freak totally troll every Pokemon fan out there and put Garbodor into this game.
#1 Fighters: Lopunny, Pokemon Diamond, Pokemon Pearl, and Pokemon Platinum
So in 2007 Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl were brought to the stores it introduced a whole bunch of new Pokemon and some fighting-types inclusing Lucario and Weavile and Lopunny so WHY ISN'T LOPUNNY IN POKKEN?!
This is not a want, this is a need.
She even has a Mega Evolution to work with!
And yes, we do have that Blaziken and Lucario rivalry, but it should be Lucario Vs. Lopunny, not Lucario Vs. Blaziken!
It just doesn't make sense!
Just put in Lopunny and I'll know that Pokken cared.
That's all I ask!
This is being the Dopest of Leafeon! And I hope you all have a fabulous day trying to come up with ways my list was bullshi--
And all because of that one review I did yesterday.
