Why do I have to be in a duo?
Do I HAVE to?

So, Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Without a doubt, the most underrated Smash game.
The game was mainly focused around using dark and realistic art styles.
And playing it on my garbage TV wasn't fun.
So four Pokemon characters made it in:
Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Lucario, and Red.
Yes, his name is Pokemon Trainer, but his real name is Red.
Anyway, surprisingly, Infernape didn't make it into Smash 3.
Instead, Lucario became more popular.
And so he was put in instead.
That and Lucario & The Mystery of Mew.
Not really.
Anyway, each of the characters have their own stories to tell.
Or, they don't actually tell them.
They're portrayed in The Subspace Emissary.
So...yeah.
Time to summarize!

Pikachu's Story
Pikachu started out being kidnapped by the dark forces or whatever and tortured to become the power source of the ultimate weapon.
However, Samus infiltrates the island in the sky, and rescues Pikachu by using her beam whip to crash the machine.
An alarm goes off, a ton of R.O.B. come in to seize them, but Samus and Pikachu take them out easily.
After some more infiltrating, Samus goes into the camera room to find that her beloved power suit is on the island.
So they go to retrieve it.
But it's guarded by two robotic power suits, and Samus and Pikachu work together to take them out and put on the power suit.
Another alarm goes off, but thanks to the power suit, Samus and Pikachu were able to take them out before they even entered the freakin' room.
Looking for a way out, they instead run into Ridley.
But since Ridley's part Flying-Type, it's a breeze for Pikachu.
They escape into the ruins, and find that two R.O.B. are carrying a Subspace Bomb outside of a door.
That's their next target.
They head inside, but that triggers yet another alarm, so they have to hurry.
They do make it, and crash through the wall to confront the Ancient Minister.
But they notice there is good in him, so they hesitate.
To their surprise, Donkey Kong, Diddy, Captain Falcon, and Olimar bust a nut.
Unfortunately, Ganondorf takes complete control of the R.O.B.s and commands them to self destruct the island.
And the Ancient Minister catches on fire.
But when it burns out, boom, R.O.B.'s a playable fighter now.
The 7 of them take out the R.O.B.s.
It does nothing, as they keep coming.
So they conclude the logical choice is the get the flip out of there.
They catch a ride on Captain Falcon's ship, but run into Meta Ridley.
They defeat Meta Ridley.
And so he's left there to die, along with the island, and escape to the Reunion.

Jigglypuff's Story
Jigglypuff isn't actually in the story, however you can fight her to unlock her.

Lucario's Story
Lucario sits atop a mountain, meditating.
However, his peace is interrupted once Meta Knight and the Ice Climbers climb his mountain.
Meta Knight and Lucario have a civilized duel, and become colleagues at the end of the match.
They notice that the Halberd destroyed the Great Fox at the peak of the mountain.
Lucario and Meta Knight infiltrate the Halberd, however, the Ice Climbers fall to their doom.
During that time, Lucario finds Solid Snake hiding, but as soon as Meta Knight draws his sword, Lucario notices that hundreds of Primids are headed their way.
They take them down as a trio.
During their adventures, they come across trapped Peach and Zelda.
their souls are absorbed by the Shadow Bugs and evil clones are born.
They're taken down as well.
They reach the control room, and find out the ship's being controlled by a bunch of Mr. Game & Watches.
Snake pretty much ambushes all of them onto the stern, meeting up with Peach, Sheik, and Fox.
Out of nowhere, the Mr. Game & Watches transform into a monster known as Duon.
Suddenly, Falco drops in to help.
When they took down Duon, an innocent Mr. Game & Watch is born and joins the squad.
They all board the ship and head to the Reunion.

Red's Story
While running away, Lucas bumps into Red, who shows him there's nothing to be afraid of with his Squirtle.
Red leaves Lucas, but Lucas wants to group up with him, so they become a duo.
Red wants to catch 'em all, so he heads to a temple to find Ivysaur and Charizard.
Ivysaur, for some reason, is a trophy, so it's as easy as catching a sleeping Level 2 Rattata on 1 HP with a Nest Ball.
However, Charizard's gone loose, so Squirtle and Lucas take 'em down.
And so Red catches Charizard.
With all his Pokemon, Red and Lucas head to The Ruins, where they find Wario, who captured Ness.
Angered, Lucas and Red take him down.
REVENGE!
Once they reach the center, they find that Galleom, a robot that Meta Knight, Marth, and Ike has previously damaged, and try to destroy it.
However, it only angers him, and he grabs Lucas and Red to fly them into the sky.
Red passes out, but Lucas gathers his courage and uses PK Thunder.
However, they're still falling, and Lucas grabs his best friend tightly, bracing for impact, but Meta Knight saves them.
Red and Lucas group up with the three swords and head to the mountain.
They battle at the base, while Meta Knight goes to infiltrate the Halberd.
However, Mario, Link, Yoshi, Kirby, and Pit arrive and group up with them.
After taking them out, they head to the Reunion.

Final Story
Everyone meets up, and form a plan.
The most badass plan I have ever seen.
They all board ships, but those ships are aboard the Halberd.
As they figured, the Halberd gets destroyed.
But they use Samus' Gunship, the S.S. Doplhin, an Arwing, and Captain Falcon's cruiser to take them by surprise.
And OH MY GOD, THIS IS THE BEST CUTSCENE IN A VIDEO GAME EVER!
GANONDORF COMMANDS THAT ALL TURRETS BE USED, BUT THEY'RE USELESS, BECAUSE THEY'RE SO GODDAMN COOL!
WHILE THEY STALL, KIRBY COMES IN ON THE LEGENDARY AIR RIDE AND DESTROYS THE WEAPON, ALONG WITH THE VILLAINS' PLANS!
THEY ALL MAKE IT INTO SUBSPACE!
Ah, sorry...lost my cool there.
Anyway, they make it into Subspace, but they all get frozen by Tabuu, I'm sure you know the rest.

I used to think Pokemon were treated like shIVER ME TIMBERS in Smash.
They're treated like that in every other Nintendo game.
If you tap a Sonic amiibo into Yoshi's Woolly World, you'll get a Sonic costume.
Neat!
What happens when you tap a Pikachu, Charizard, Lucario, Jigglypuff, Greninja, or Mewtwo amiibo?
Yoshi with a T-Shirt.
This is ludicrous.
But Smash is run by a person who doesn't decide to give Pokemon Fans the middle finger every chance they get.
So obviously they'll get support.
And to be honest, I liked every Pokemon characters' stories.
I like Lucario's the most, and Red's the least.
Red was kind of a jerk in this game.
Dragging along Lucas wherever he goes, leaving him in The Ruined Zoo...
Make no mistake, I enjoy Red and Lucas' relationship as the story progresses.
Even if Red drags him along, he still helped Lucas defeat Wario and Galleom.
And Lucas seemed to enjoy the thrill of battling Charizard.
Pikachu's story was also great, it was like Samus had a Pokemon.
Like Red's story, Samus and Pikachu were there to back each other up.
Samus had her own intentions, but Pikachu didn't seem to mind.
It helped Samus defeat the power suit androids, as well as saving her butt from Ridley.
And of course, Lucario wasn't treated as a Pokemon.
It made up the badass trio that was Lucario, Meta Knight, and Snake.
Seriously, they were like the Avengers.
They hate each other for some bizarre reason, but they're stuck with it anyway and learn to work together.
Not to mention Lucario's aura was used to detect Snake when he was hiding.
Talk about serious detail...
Anyway, I love Brawl's story mode, and I hope Subspace Emissary II comes to Smash Switch.
Except it probably won't be SSE2...
This is being the Dopest of Leafeon, and I hope you all have a fabulous day!
