On every child's 10th birthday, our people would give us two eggs as a start to our Pokemon journey. We did this because we lived far from the Professor. Our village has no pokeballs, and as of tradition, we had to keep our Pokemon outside of any Pokeball, at all times, to create a strong and everlasting friendship like no other. As far as I know, none of my eggs hatched yet. Once every kids' eggs have hatched, we hold a celebration party to say farewell to our families as we settle off to our Pokemon adventure.
I heard a little knocking on door. I stood up and flexed my back. After that, I walked over to the door to see who it was. I opened the door to see it was my friend, Stephanie.
"Hi, Dim!" she greeted me. "How ya doing?" Stephanie seemed happier than ever. Did something happen that exited her?
"Hi, Steph," I replied. "I'm good thank you. How are you?" I asked.
Stephanie showed her teeth then spoke. "I'm feeling great today! My eggs just hatched!"
"Cool! What is it?" I felt a tinge of envy, since my eggs didn't hatch yet.
A Piplup and a Charmander leaned in different directions behind Stephanie. "Look!" Stephanie pointed down at the two.
"Nice, but I gotta say my eggs didn't hatch yet."
"Oh, well is it OK if I can come in and check on that? Also, these little ones love exploring new places." Stephanie said.
"It's OK." I replied.
Stephanie stepped in my house and Piplup and Charmander followed her. Piplup ran to a table and started biting one of the legs.
"Piplup, this is my friend's house, please don't ruin it." Stephanie said to Piplup. Piplup walked away and started following us again.
I opened the door to my room, where we were introduced by two eggs. "Here they are." I said.
Stephanie slid over to my bed. "I got the perfect idea. Charamander, hover your tail over the eggs please."
Stephanie was trying to help the eggs hatch, because warmth can help an egg hatch faster.
I leaned over my bed to see the eggs. They started glowing.
"OK, Charmander, stop, please!" Stephanie called.
The eggs illuminated, becoming a blinding light. Stephanie and I covered our eyes, and even Piplup and Charmander covered their eyes, too.
After the light died down, I could see two Pokemon. A Riolu, and a Sneasel. "Oh, my gosh, thank you!" Heh, I couldn't ask for a better friend than Stephanie.
"You're welcome." Stephanie smiled and went out of my room with Charmander and Piplup.
