Xerione stepped into Santalune Forest. Small rays of sunlight leaked through the thick canopy that the trees made. The buzzing sound of bug pokemon rang out across the lush forest. “I HATE bug types.” Flannere snarled. Xerione laughed. “I prefer other types, too. Now, let’s go through this forest as quick as-“ A jolt of electricity shot through Xerione’s body. A Pikachu had bitten into her ankle. “Nummy! You taste like torchic!” The Pikachu commented. “Hey! I’m not food!” Xerione protested. She lifted up the Pikachu. “But I can get you some food if you come with me!” “Food! Yummmm! Sure, I’ll come with you!” The Pikachu decided. “I’m called Volt!” “Nice to meet you, Volt! I’m Xerione, and that’s Flannere!” “I can introduce myself, Baka!” Flannere snarled. “Now, lets train!”
(A bit of grinding later, Flannere is level 10 and Volt is level 8. They have made it out of the forest.)
“Nice job, guys! We’re almost to Santalune City!” Xerione smiled. The bushes behind her began to russle. Suddenly, a young boy popped out of the bush. “HI! I LIKE SHORTS! THEY’RE COMFORTABLE AND EASY TO WEAR! LET’S BATTLE!” The boy yelled as he sent out his pokemon. It was a Zigzagoon with foam at the corners of it’s mouth. “Okay then! Let’s do this, Volt!” “Ooh! You look like a ham sandwich!” Volt smiled. “USE TACKLEEEE!” The boy yelled. His Zigzagoon charged at Volt, slamming its head into his chest. With a small gasp, Volt’s health dropped to 0. His limp body skidded to a halt a few feet away.
“I THINK IM GONNA GO NOW!” The boy leapt back into the bush he came from.
Xerione ran over to Volt’s limp body. “H-hey Volt? Are you okay? W-wake up, please!” She knelt down to Volt, shaking his body. Xerione placed a quivering hand over Volt’s heart. No beat. “Volt! Volt, wake up! Please….” Xerione cried, collapsing over Volt’s dead body.
