A birthday present for @catolotl (okay, technically an early birthday present as her birthday is tomorrow but as it wasn't so much of a surprise... there you have it).
Portrayed here as an Alectan is her recently-departed cat and constant companion for nearly 18 years, Oliver. Knowing how much Oliver meant to her, I asked her for permission to draw this as both a birthday present to her and a tribute to the fuzzball. She loved the idea - and so this became a thing. ^^
(In case you wonder, the cat in the image above his bed is his actual Earthly form - the photo was sourced from Kai's Instagram profile and is brought here with her permission for the purpose of this tribute - which makes this a bit of a collab, too, I suppose!)
