The Odes of Three - Songs of Land Sky and Sea: Ode to Green

by Zixal

Zixal
The world lives of it
An ending, simply it has not.
O, grand land expands
Beyond then our memory forgot.

The land both dead and living,
Frozen and burning, stoic and churning
Flavors of color splash in every fissure
And impression of life.
None will ever compare to the feeling
The concept, the existence of Green.

Leaves and pines rise, shining in our eyes.
Deep below, Green still will grow
Creeping up from deeper reaches.

Lush, abundant Green cloaks,
Oak and grass coat fields of Green.
Rain falls and lolls around Green stalks
That too sprout around high mounts.
Vines writhe and grass creeps,
Streams of sunlight seep through
Illuminating secret life in shade of every Green thing.

Strong and peaceful, tranquil, truly
The Green we destroy is more than just that
Of what must be removed for us in our time.

Green exceeds us, it perceived us.

And ever more, beautiful Green creation shall remain among all else.
