It was time! The group had finally arrived
at the contest hall! Many trainers were getting their Pokemon looking their best for the contest. Avelyn saw what it wa like to be a performer, and decided to do contests! "Hey guys! I think I'm gonna do the contests!" Said Avelyn. The group said they were fine with her decision. Nico and Cy decided to enter it as well!
The appeals round started....
"And entry number 15 in the Dewford contest is the newcomer..... Nico!" Said the announcer "Nincada, let's shine!" Yelled Nico, sending it out in a bunch of butterflies, as his Poke'Ball capsule was. "Nincada, use sand attack!" Yelled Nico. Nincada sent out a flurry of sand. "Now use metal claw!" Nincada slashed through the sand, making sparks that filled the arena, dazzling the audience. "Now, use leech life!" Nincada shot a pin into the air, and a bunch of green light went into it. "Now finish with scratch!" Nincada slashed open the pin, and the green light poured out of it, making a brilliant light show. Nincada landed on Nico's head, and he bowed, entering the waiting room.

Is another newcomer, Cy!" Yelled the announcer. "Let's go Combusken! Time to light it up!" Yelled Cy. Combusken came out in a bunch of fire. "Combusken, shoot ember all around!" Combusken shot embers until a cloud of them floated around it. "Now, use double kick to destroy them!" Combusken kicked all the embers until they turned into a shower of orange sparkles. "Now, spin until all the sparkles have surrounded you!" Combusken spun until al, the sparkles made a mini-tornado around Combusken. "Now plant your foot into the ground!" Combusken did so, making al, the fire sparkles fly off him! Combusken jumped next to his trainer, and the two both bowed before the crowd, going to the waiting room.
"And our last contestant, number 20, is another
rookie, Avelyn!"
