My Charms story starts unlike many others, in which they join because of the Trainer cards and find other things later: I was actually searching for a Pokemon roleplay site, having some RP experience already under my wing (which I'll get to later), and this was one of the first sites to pop up on Google. I remembered seeing it before due to the Trainer cards, so I explored it a bit more in-depth. I created my account, named it Avalonia_Cipher, which was my very first RP site username and didn't stick with me for long, got no welcomes from anyone (not to say that I mind this xD), and found an RP that tickled my fancy: PokèHigh, created by RPer @Galaxy Sylveon. That RP opened my eyes to the real world of RPing, even if it wasn't the best thing in the world, what with pure OOC stuff and short posts, and I moved on to do more in that aspect after that.
Now, I had previously mentioned that I didn't start RPing on this site. I actually began on a Gravity Falls-themed forum site called mystery-shack.com. I created an RP in the discussion thread that was, I kid you not, "hey, anyone up for an RP? I like RPs! Here's my character," and then I went on a hiatus from the site.
Yeah, you wouldn't expect that thing to go anywhere, would you?
Believe it or not, people came flocking to it, and when I returned to the site, they had created a plotline that I thought was very creative and imaginative, and that RP quickly became what I remember to be the biggest RP on that site. When I returned from that aforementioned hiatus, I created the first character I've ever used in an RP, who is still my mascot Pokesona: Kit-Kat.
Nevertheless, I was proud of myself.
I only left that site for good much later because keeping up with everything was very tricky to do when you never get a notification when someone posts something new...
...but enough about that site. Let's go back to this one, shall we?
After PokèHigh was shut down by Galaxy, I moved on to one of the longest-running RPs on this site: Pokemon: A Summer's Break. That's where I met many people I consider my friends on this site, including @Hisseki, @Excalibur Queen, @EspeonTheBest, @Sciencewars, and @~:Mist:~. That RP was a huge eye-opener... and I still miss @AgrarianAtlas, @mienscapone, and @TeaAndTragedy... ;~;
At some point between the time of those two RPs, I met an influential RPer and a good friend of mine: @Lucky Ace. Along with him and @Hisseki came @Tsu, and we created an RP that I still feel guilty for destroying by attempting to create conflict. That RP was The Other World. It might've been the beginning of Kit's first ship, but still...
Near the time of my joining, I found the Creative Corner and realized that I could post art here, so I posted a drawing of my first legitimate Fakemon, Stalaquese. Art stuff bloomed from there. I found myself wanting to be as great as artists such as @WolfyPop, @Yoshi_Dere, and @Arcaena, and I'm still working on that goal!
Speaking of art, stay tuned for my 5,000 likes art special, coming soon~! (Shameless self-advertising is shameless.)
Then... I dunno when this was, but then, I met the guy that I can only call my best friend on this site. I think it was in an RP of his own creation, called Will You Be My Valentine? That guy was @ProfessorSticks. We didn't talk much at first, but with the creation of what I hope is the longest-running convo on this site, with over 300 pages, called Sticks' Shipping Lab, I gotta say that a friendship bloomed. Wouldn't you agree, Sticks? xD
Of course, other friendships came about inside and out of that convo, including ones with @WolfyPop, @Yoshi_Dere, @Midnight Princess, @StarBlitz (Fluff Pup's gotten Fanta into a lot of trouble...), @Eeveechu151, @Mewtwofan259, @Cloudswift, and @Stormursa. I hope to make more in the near future~!
While that convo RP was taking over, @DiamondPikachu, my next best friend here, strolled to this site and quickly befriended me. We've started many a convo RP about various things, and I gotta admit that they've all been super fun! Keep 'em coming, Diamond! I'll be waiting!
I gotta say that that's about it for my Charms story. I don't wanna make this too-too long, anyway. Here's hoping for more RPs to join (and that I can stay active in my current ones), more art to be proud of, and more friends to be made! I can't thank you enough, Charms, for opening my eyes and making my RPing experience something more! Keep being you~! ♥
