Long believed to be an urban legend, a live Paraslit specimen was recently captured for study. Paraslit invades the body of its host and influences its behavior. It is rumored to evolve when its target is fully drained, but no evidence has been found to date. It secretes an anti-healing factor that suppresses its target’s immune system and makes medical regeneration ineffective. Suspected cases should be sedated with drugs or sleep techniques and reported to pokémon control authorities. Its antennae are razor-sharp and can move extremely quickly.

A pokémon submitted to me for a fake pokémon contest in 2004 or 2005 by The Pinecone Tortoise, this is the fakemon that changed everything and drew me back to the story. Previously, demon pokémon were merely especially violent and uncontrollable pokémon. I re-conceived them as being vampires, pokémon that upset the order of pokémon-pokémon and pokémon-trainer interactions, and whose rarity and power (or potential thereof) made them tempting targets for the foolish or unscrupulous.
