Ahhh shoot, this is not gonna go well, is it?
Probably not.
For once I agree. So recently, I've become obsessed with this series called Death Battle, and no, it's not the one of @Mewtwofan259 , it's the actual YouTube ScrewAttack one. Every time I make one of these, I tend to sneak in a Pokemon every now and then. So I thought: How well WOULD Pokemon do against outsiding video games. And now, since I have a co-host, I think I'm ready. Here's Pikachu Vs. Mario to start things off! I'm DopeLeafeon!
And I'm Rotom!
We're here to find out if Pokemon stands a chance against outside video games!
MARIO
Let's just get this one out of the way.
Chance of getting everything about Mario: 0.3
But it's worth a try, right? Anyway, Mario has a variety of different power-ups, most commonly the Mushroom. With this, he can grow big...you know what, Rotom and I will just run through the list.
Fire Flower allows Mario to shoot fireballs out of his hand,
Tanooki Leaf allows Mario to float or use his tail,
Invincibility Star is self-explanatory...
The Cat Bell allows Mario to turn into a cat that can climb walls or scratch enemies,
The Stone Tanooki Leaf is similar to its predecessor, but can turn into a statue,
The Propeller Mushroom allows Mario to fly,
The Penguin Suit can shoot Iceballs and has traction on ice, can also slide on its belly,
The Mini Mushroom allows Mario to get small, and access small areas,
The Gold Mushroom allows Mario to have 50 more coins,
The Gold Flower allows Mario to shoot Gold Fireballs to turn bricks into coins,
The Mega Mushroom allows Mario to grow even bigger and stomp on anything in his way to extend the amount of time used...
The Bee Mushroom allows Mario to Buzz for a short time,
The Boo Mushroom allows Mario to turn into a Boo,
The Poison Mushroom kills Mario,
and I think that's it. Are you okay, Rotom? You're conking out.
Bzzzt, I'm fine, bzzzt...
Anyway, Mario can breathe in space, and is an all-around character. This means he can jump high, and run fast. And, when a Luma is in his hat, he can use the Spin Attack, which is capable of breaking crystals. And when a ghost hat infests his hat, his hat can become Cappy, who can be thrown around to be jumped on or to become another creature. And, with the help of Professor E. Gadd, he can use F.L.U.D.D. to push opponents away or clean up messes. There are other caps, too. The Wing Cap allows Mario to fly, the Metal Cap allows Mario to become heavy and drop straight to the bottom of any sea. I dunno, is that everything, Rotom?
I think it is!
Great! Now let's move on!
Mario: Yahoo!
PIKACHU
This'll be easy!
Especially for me, because we're the same type, bzzzt!
Okay, Pikachu is a pure Electric-Type, its signature moves can be Thunderbolt, Electro Ball, Iron Tail, and Quick Attack.
But isn't that the moveset of Ash's Pikachu, bzzt?
True, but wasn't Pikachu made famous in the anime in the first place?
Oh yeah, bzzzt...
Anyway, Pikachu's ability is Static, which is when a physical move is used on it, then the opponent becomes paralyzed. Pikachu also has a high Speed stat of 90, and, as it's only moves that aren't Electric-type or Normal-type, comes Agility and Light Screen, Agility, raising Pikachu's already-high Speed stat, and Light Screen, holding better defense against Special moves. This will of course, be a wild Pikachu, so there will be no Thunder Stone, no TMs or HMs, no Egg moves, tutor moves, anything.
And while we're throwing out facts, can we make it a Shiny Pikachu?
No.
Please?
FINE.
Yay!
Alright, the combatants--
Wait, wouldn't you get copyrighted for that?
You're right. Let me try again. *ahem* Okay, both fighters have been researched, it's time for the fight!
That's better. Where should it take place? Mario or Pokemon?
I dunno. Random spinner? That's what I'm thinking.
>Mario
Pokemon
Here we goooo!
Pikachu: (sings) Pika pika pika pika chu!
Mario: Hey! What is-a going on? Sounds-a like the princess!
(Mario jumps out of bushes)
Mario: Hey! Where's the princess?
Pikachu: Pika?
Mario: Don't-a lie to-a me!
Pikachu: Pii! (lightning comes out of Pikachu's cheeks)
Mario: Let's-a-go!
FIGHT!
Pikachu: (tail turns to steel)
Mario: Woah! (puts on Metal Cap)
(Pikachu uses Iron Tail but Mario counters)
(metal clashes)
(Mario avoids and Punches Pikachu)
Pikachu: Pika!
Mario: Oh yeah! (timer on Metal Cap runs out) Oh no!
Pikachu: Pika! (uses Thunderbolt)
Mario: Ah! (dodges)
Pikachu: Pika piiiikaaa! (uses Quick Attack)
Mario: Oh no!
(Mario gets hit)
Cappy: Hey, whats that? I think I hear Mario!
Mario: (uses Fire Flower and attacks Pikachu) Oh yeah!
(Cappy goes into Mario's hat)
Cappy: Let's do this, Mario!
Mario: Oh yeah! (throws hat at Pikachu)
Pikachu: Pika! (uses Iron Tail)
Cappy: Ouchie! Mario! I'm done for! That move was too strong!
Mario: Oh no!
(Mario gets mad)
Pikachu: (uses Thunderbolt)
Mario: (uses Gold Flower)
(Mario is immune)
Pikachu: Pika?! Pika! (Pikachu uses Thunderbolt again)
(Mario is immune)
(Mario runs at Pikachu and charges up gold fireball)
(Pikachu keeps trying to use Thunderbolt but it doesn't work)
(Mario uses the gold fireball and it turns Pikachu into a coin)
Mario: Another one for my collection.
K.O.!
What?! If Mario could use the Gold Flower this whole time, then why didn't he use it at the beginning?
Well, Mario doesn't usually bring power-ups to Bowser fights, now, does he?
Well, no, but Pikachu isn't Bowser!
Maybe Mario wanted to test Pikachu, to see if he was a worthy opponent.
But Mario wanted the princess! And he doesn't hesitate when he's looking for the princess!
I think Mario didn't know what to do until he realized what Pikachu was capable of. Mario won because he had enough resources to see what Pikachu could and couldn't do. Once he figured it all out, he used the Gold Flower to finish things off.
Looks like Pikachu just couldn't keep up.
The winner of this match is Video Games.
Hey! You there! Want sneak peeks on the next Pokemon Vs. Video Games? I would tell you to follow Leafy, but because I'm awesome, I'll give you a hint!
(There are two mysterious figures)
(One has a rag)
(One has a paintbrush)
Coming soon...
Hey guys! Hope you enjoyed! I just used this to find your opinions on my research. If it's good, I'll continue making them. If not, then I won't. And remember, honesty is the best policy.
Probably not.
