@DesuCat Ah okay I think I understand. If greyscale is what you enjoy using most I'd say go for it, but if you want to get an idea of using colour you've got to try using it. I've got an idea that might help you work with what you're comfortable with. What program are you using? And don't worry, moving from traditional to digital is pretty hard. My digital art was twenty times worse than my traditional stuff until I started getting the hang of it.

Well, I’ve worked mostly with ‘traditional’ art as of before, until ‘digital’ painting has caught my eye. Though, since I had worked with pencil shading for over the years, I am fond with the tool for a long time and now, in digital painting, I must work with different colours rather than the same gray/grey variant(I don’t have to work with different colours all the time, but using multi-colour brings out the best). I’ve worked a bit before with digital painting but they didn’t turn out as nice. I still haven’t got the hang of it yet...

I’m just not used to digital painting, I’ve only been doing this for 1 year so far.

I quite like the shading honestly, although I feel it would really pop if you brough some more colours into the shading. What were you trying specifically and why don't you feel it was working?
