Hi! I'm Jao Vapor!
Prince and Engineer of Geniero! What is Geniero, you might be asking? Well, Geniero is a place behind a sacred waterfall where all of the best engineers and scientists all come together to form Geniero. We were originally going to put this place back in Equestria, but those meanies said it was "too bad for the environment". Stupid meanies. Anyway, I told them we will fight for what we believe is right, and we lost horribly. So we built it where no one could ever find it: Behind a waterfall. Pretty obvious, I know, but once they find us, it's not like they're just gonna take it down! We spent years building houses upon houses on what little we have! And I'm the ruler of it all! Well, of course not, I'm a kid, I have a mentor. He's really mean. He keeps training me on how to use a wrench as a weapon, and I don't know why. It's probably because people are going to find us and we need to learn to fend for ourselves. Anyway, my machines aren't that great. They're just simple tools, like alarm clocks, ovens, sometimes conveyor belts. My mentor expects way more from me than he should. Anyway, one day, one of the patrols looked outside and saw an unconscious body that looked just like me. And that's where the story begins...
"Hang on. You're telling me, there's a sleeping corpse outside the waterfall that looks exactly like me?" I asked. "Same cutie mark, too," said one of the patrol members. "It fell out of the sky, too. It was making the same girl scream as you as it fell," snickered another guard. I ignored him, and ran outside. There it was, the body, blood in some places, but it was all washed away from the water falling on it. I looked up, and noticed a particular thunder cloud going in a circular motion. "Don't tell me it came from up there..." I sighed. "It came from up there," answered a guard. "D'oh..." I facepalmed. Now we were going to have to fly up there and take them ourselves. "Guards, go tell everyone to start building a catapult. We need every last guard up there," I said, trying to sound important. "Jao, that is a place not even I speak of. It's where the most horrible of monsters come to roost, a place where the snow falls black, where anyone who goes there is turned into skeletons on the spot! I forbid you to go there!" said Echidna, my mentor. "Haven't you forgot, my mentor? I have this..." I pointed to the little horn I had on my head. "A head?" Echidna asked. "No! My horn! See?" I pointed to it further. "It prevents me from getting hurt from any kind of monster trickery!" I tried to sound smart again. "Maybe you, but not us! Once you come down, we won't have a guard to protect ourselves from Equestria and other kingdoms!" yelled Echidna. "If you go in there, that's three weeks cuffed!"
"You can't cuff me! I'm a prince!" I snapped. "Well then we'll get someone else to take your place!" Echidna snapped back. "Well guess what? I've been trained to build a sentry turret from toothpicks, I've learned to use this wrench as a weapon while standing on stilts, I've learned when and when not to watch over my kingdom, and that's all because of you! So if anything, you should be proud of me willing to go there alone!" I said. Echidna growled.
That night, I set my alarm clock to almost silent and woke up at 6 in the morning. I made sure my wings weren't stiff. And I had to slip out of Geniero alone. I carried my back pack with me, as a looked through it and found my invisibility cloak. I put it on and flapped my wings out of it. I could no longer see my arms or legs. I flapped my wings and flew into the cloud alone.
