This is not an addiction, I can stop playing DnD at any time I want. I just don't want to.
Anyway if you don't know this is my DnD character Rhaja Aurronel. I redrew her because I really wasn't happy with how the last drawing turned out - I think I messed up the lighting - plus that last picture was sorely lacking in awesome skeleton wings and blood covered magic spears. As for why she has the wings, well she's basically half angel, except she gave the middle finger to the whole "being a good person" thing and fell from grace. Some good good times.

@Psycho Monkey Oh there were many epic battles - guess who got the final blow against the big bad himself? But there were just as many battles were she was completely freaking useless so it all balances out in the end. It's kind of hard to fight a creature that resists all melee damage when that's your main way of dealing damage, or fight a creature that's on fire when your character has a curse on her that makes her terrified of fire.

Rhaja having skeletal angel wings just make her 200% more badass. I'm sure there were many epic battles in your campaign.

@StellarWind Elsydeon Same, I'm really tempted to ask you 6 months down the road how things worked out just to see what differences there were. Provided I remember, of course >> Oh she's amazing, although sometimes her hatred of vampires can cause her to make some risky choices, but it's nothing my character wouldn't be doing already.

@Aura I love how different can two instances of the same setting/general plotline be depending on a few plot forks and different characters/players along for the ride. That's one of the really awesome aspects of D&D. ^^ Certainly looking forward to see where our plot is going to roll.
Also, a Vestana with a mechanical leg sounds absolutely frelling awesome.Nov 10, 2018 -
@StellarWind Elsydeon Ah well you've got a fun if depressing adventure in front of you then. Oh wow, that's actually kind of awesome for plot reasons that I can't tell you. Please, please let her get the final blow against Strahd if you can. I'd love to tell you what happened to our Ireena but... spoilers. Our NPC was a Vestana with a mechanical leg called Esmeralda - she was pretty damn broken when we first met her but we've slowly caught up to her in power.

@Aura We're fairly early in actually - timing and schedule silliness meant we missed out on quite a few sessions in the past few weeks. Essentially, the party is on the cusp of Level 3, we got our tarot-equivalent reading so we're supposed to be on the trail of the items we're supposed to utilize against Strahd (but we got sidelined into the Death House sidequest) - and in a slightly surprising twist of the cards, our NPC-destined-to-defeat-Strahd ended up being Ireena Kolyana herself and thus she ascended from NPC to full on GM character - a Paladin actually!
I expect things to get even stranger as the story goes on.Nov 10, 2018 -
@StellarWind Elsydeon It was just the lighting in the other picture - I think I went too intense on the light from the fire bolt and messed it up a little honestly. Oh nice, how far are you through it? We're literally about to start fighting Strahd himself so we're in pretty deep. I didn't design the spear actually - it's a magic weapon you can get in Curse of Strahd (same with the shield from the last picture). It is a really nice design though.

I see her hair color changed from the last picture too (or was it always like this and it just looked different because of the lighting? ^^)
By complete coincidence I have an Aasimar character in an entirely different Curse of Strahd campaign (although they are vastly different from yours) So I sort of vastly approve. XD Really digging the general design of the spear here!Nov 10, 2018 -
@kyuukestu Oh you should definitely give it a shot. It's easy enough for new players given that DnD 5 is pretty simple to understand, and there are sites where you can play online such as Roll20 and Fantasy Grounds, although if you've got a local gamestore they might organize face to face games as well. It might be worth having a look around the internet if you're curious.
