HA! You all thought this series was dead after the first one, RIGHT?!
Ugh, anyway, let's just get into it.
Plants Vs. Zombies is a very important game in history.
And that's probably because it pushed the boundaries of what can be seen by kids.
Back then, people thought that if a 5-year-old saw a zombie, they would be scarred for life, no matter how cartoonish they made them look.
Plants Vs. Zombies fixed that.
But every time I look at one of those plants with a tube-like mouth, I just think: How the hell do they do that?
So, let's go ahead and see.
Let's start with the original, Plants Vs. Zombies. The Peashooter was the first ever plant you use in that game, followed by plants such as the Sunflower, Wall-nut, Cherry Bomb, and Potato Mine.
But not much is said about the Peashooter here. It just wobbles as it shoots.
So we go to the next game, Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.
Believe me, I was REALLY hyped about that game. My parents never let me get Xbox Live Gold, and I was lucky to get a 2-day free trial.
I was depressed after those two days.
Back on task, this doesn't help us much either.
But what we DO see is Peashooter's arms, or leaves, are filled with smaller, more harmless peas.
This may not look like much, but actually, it does help somewhat.
Now we know that the Peashooter stores peas in its leaves as ammo, and it can only hold 10.
With that in our minds, up next is Plants Vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time.
And THIS is where the fun kicks in.
We're given a WHOLE LOT more than any of the games before it.
Now we know that the peas urge themselves up the Peashooter's stem, Peashooter holds it in, and finally, it goes out.
From real plants, we know that substances inside the stem can defy gravity and go up.
Meaning as long as it stays inside of the stem, it can go anywhere.
And Peashooter CAN control this, because he's the one with the ammo holders and the cannon. Plus, when there aren't any zombies around, he stops shooting.
We could stop here, but there's more.
Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, and Plants Vs. Zombies Heroes.
But there's nothing we can draw from there either, so...
But I can't make this short.
So let's talk about others with the tube-shaped mouth, like the Cactus or Ice Pea.
The Cactus draws in needles from its body and uses them, and it can reload, as seen in Garden Warfare.
The Ice Pea just does the same thing as the regular Peashooter, but thanks to its colder body, it can make the peas more cold, and freezing.
And that goes for the Fire Pea, too.
But there are much more, too.
The Electric Pea, the Toxic Pea, the Rock Pea, the list goes on and on.
But this is all because the little leaves the Peashooter has adapts to how cold or warm or electrifying the Peashooter is.
And that, folks, is how the Peashooter shoots its peas.
