This region is based off of California, and the region is named: Forncai. (Forn from California and Cai from California <--- Take off the L from the word.)

#01, Grassnake, The hiding snake Pokemon. This Pokemon hides in the bushes, and then it jumps out for a surprise attack. It then begins to eat its prey and when it is done eating, it leaves to hide again.
