Gaiien Region: Gaiien League Badges

by Keleri

badges-color2.png
Keleri Gaiien’s League was established in 107 CR, 21 years before the start of Gods and Demons. A famously “wild” league, it has gone from being a rough-and-tumble affair to attracting notable talent, although some of the towns and routes may lack amenities. The gym leaders are able to accommodate battles at their assigned tier or at S-tier (trainers with 8 or more badges), but generally lack the turnover and acolytes necessary to establish a tierless league capable of meeting challengers at any level.

A certain amount of politics is associated with gym leadership, as gym leaders assigned by the league governing body are expected to not only fulfill their duties associated with meeting and evaluating challengers at their tier, but also to serve as a teacher to local trainers and others of their type specialty. Gym leaders also provide community leadership during times of crisis or when facing dangerous high-level pokemon. In some areas, gym leaders provide starter pokemon to local trainers. Gym leaders are expected to take on students, acolytes, and lieutenants to delegate these and other tasks.

Gym leaders and their specialties are as follows:

1. Luciana “Tierra” Rodriguez – Ground – Dust Badge – Umber Village

2. Alex “Hawthorn” Wong – Grass – Seed Badge – Verdure Town

3. Bryony “Belladonna” Jourdain – Poison – Venom Badge – Porphyry City

4. Brent “Pyre” Carter – Fire – Pyre Badge – Russet Town

5. Galen “Lord Ironhelm” Richter – Steel – Gear Badge – Castle Brac

6. Mikoto “Tsukuyomi” Arata – Ghost – Oblivion Badge – Sere Island

7. Genevieve “Nocturna” Park – Dark – Eventide Badge – Sunset Mountain

8. Matti “Polaris” Virtanen – Ice – Frost Badge – Sastruga Fjord

Questions/Comments? Do the hills in the Sunset Mountain badge look too much like a butt? Let me know!
