It is incredibly fast and powerful, and can circle the globe in a few days. It was used by Dragon Clan elders to send messages.

The (+) mega form for Gaiien’s grass-type starter, Borfang. There have always been concerns over Borfang’s dragon typing with the expectation that it might make the pokemon overly wild and inappropriate for use as a starter, but these fears are unlikely to be realized… except with the mega form. However, mega stones and foci are fairly expensive (equivalent of several hundred to a couple thousand dollars) and are banned from amateur tournaments, so the investment is usually made by league bodies in their gym leaders and elites, or by tournament clubs in masters or elite-level battlers.

Mega stones also don’t work for everyone, although if you have the drive and resources to be battling at the level where they’re allowed, you’ll have the connection with your pokemon to allow mega stone use or some other kind of equivalent power-up (synchro evolution, fusion, elemental releases, etc.).
