April 7th
Middle school’s started, so there’s a new school, new people, new friends...! Ah, there’s this one student in my class who I’m already friends with!
Akira-kun is really fun to be around! They often seem to overthink things, but always has a smile!
There was also this guy who was really quiet and stuff – I tried to get his attention tons of times, but he didn’t even flinch or try and shake me off.
He should at least tell me if he doesn’t want to talk!
April 9th
Me and Akira-kun asked Riku-kun to sit with us at lunch and he actually said something!
It was something like ‘You girls are irritating.’
He didn’t listen to Akira-kun’s protests that they didn’t like being called a girl.
I really don’t like Riku-kun.
April 14th
Riku-kun still is being a rude, cold jerk! I’ve seen him being friendly with some other students, so why not me and Akira-kun?!
Can’t he just at least have a meaningful conversation with at least one of us?
He still hasn’t corrected how he refers to Akira-kun.
15 years old:
July 27th
This summer break has gotten worse and worse! My parents are still bugging me tons about what high school I’m going to when I’ve still got months before I need to send out my applications and I honestly don’t care!
Yes, I don’t care what stupid high school I go too!
And, on top of that, Akira-kun, the one person in my entire middle school I befriended, hasn’t talked to me at all this break! We used to hang tons doing the summer break! Why not now?!
...Maybe I have an idea on how to ‘cheer up’ my parents, though.
