Winter. The worst season for my Pokemon. Just like me, they prefer warm sunny days. The holiday season also means more work for us. Many young trainers get their first Pokemon as a gift and they come running to challenge their hometown GYM. Today something special happened though.
While I was walking around the forest behind my GYM, me and Greenday found an egg. Greenday stretched a long vine from his back and placed it on top of his fully developed flower. I tried to argue that he couldn't just go around taking eggs, but he seemed to know what he was doing. We took it back home and is now in an incubator.
We had two challengers today. The first one had two badges already. This ment we each get to use two pokemon. He started off with Pidgeotto. They always get confident against grass types. Lily took care of it easily. Being grass and rock has it's advantages. Next he used a Monferno. Lily lost against his fighting attacks. I sent out Lombre, who took him down with his bubblebeam.
The next kid was a newbie. This would be one on one. He used his starter Pokemon, a Bulbasaur. I used my new Bellsprout who lost unfortunately. This kid was amazed when he saw Greenday and I promised we could have a one on one when his also became a Venusaur.
I guess today wasn't that bad.
