Me: Legendary Pokémon are usually based on mythical creatures. Bluefox: But these 2 Pokémon are based multiple creatures.
Me: Lugia, the strange typed guardian of the sea. Bluefox: And Yveital, Xerneas's arch enemy. He's Mewtwofan and I'm Bluefox! Me: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win, a Death Battle.
Bluefox: Lugia is a large Pokémon that resembles a dragon, a plesiosaur, and a bird. Me: It is primarily pale silver-white, but it has blue undersides with slightly varying tones. Bluefox: It has a ridged mouth similar to a beak, although it has pointed teeth on its lower jaw. Me: It's head has a point to the back, and Lugia’s eyes have pointed blue or black spikes on them. Bluefox: Lugia has a long, slender neck and a smooth, streamlined body, with the exception of dark blue or black plate-like protrusions that run down the length of its back, and two smaller ones on the ends of their tails. Me: It can fold back these plates to increase its speed. Bluefox: Though it is genderless, young Lugia has been observed, suggesting that there is a breeding population. Me: Lugia has been shown to be fiercely protective of its young. Bluefox: Lugia leads the Legendary birds. When they fight over territory, Lugia is the only Pokémon that can quell their ceaseless fighting, as observed in the second Pokémon movie. Me: Much like the birds, it possesses the ability to control the weather; most notably, it can calm and give rise to storms. Bluefox: It is said that a light flutter of its wings is capable of causing winds powerful enough to tear down cliffs. Me: If it were to flap its wings, it could hypothetically spawn storms lasting as long as 40 days. Bluefox: It is highly intelligent, and because of the devastating power it could accidentally inflict, it isolates itself deep underwater and tends to sleep in solitude. Me: It is extremely rare and is hardly ever seen. Bluefox: Lugia also has the ability to talk using telepathy, but that won't help in this fight. Me: Lugia has a dark force inside of it. By increasing that dark force, Lugia will unleash a new form, known as Shadow Lugia. Bluefox: In the prologue of Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, Shadow Lugia attacks the cruise ship S.S. Libra, which had been carrying many Pokémon to Orre. Me: However, Shadow Lugia drops the ship in the middle of the desert, forcing Cipher to travel to the desert and catch the Pokémon left in the ship. Bluefox: During the course of the game, Shadow Lugia is mentioned often, but never seen. Me: One of Cipher's administrators, Lovrina, tells Michael that it was she who created Shadow Lugia, as the first of an army of Shadow Pokémon immune to purification. Bluefox: In it's Shadow Form, it has 4 unique moves. Shadow Blast, Shadow Down, Shadow Shed, and Shadow Storm. Me: Let me tell you, you don't want to be around if this Pokémon gets angry. Lugia: Get away from here!
Bluefox: Yveltal is a large Pokémon with avian and draconian traits. Me: Its body is dark in coloration and is adorned with grayish patterns along the underside. Bluefox: Yveltal's wings have three spikes on each extending along the bottom edges, close to where they meet the body. Me: There are five large claws on each appendage, three of which curve inwards. Bluefox: Yveltal's underside is bright red, with branching, black markings. Similar markings are present on Yveltal's head and neck. Me: Yveltal has a pointed, beak-like snout. Black horns extend from above its blue eyes, with a sharply curved portion pointing forward and thinner prongs facing the rear. Bluefox: A feathery gray ruff encircles its neck and billows out over its back. Yveltal has small, birdlike legs with powerful talons. Me: Like the rest of the underside, the legs are red with black adornments, and the talons are gray. Each foot has two toes facing forward and one pointing backwards. Bluefox: When Yveltal's wings and tail are fully extended, Yveltal resembles the Latin alphabet letter Y. Me: Yveltal has the power to absorb life energy. When it reaches the end of its lifespan, it expands its wings and steals all of the life energy of every living thing around it before transforming into a cocoon to sleep for 1,000 years. Bluefox: Yveltal is the only known Pokémon capable of learning the move Oblivion Wing. Which takes the HP of the opponent and heals YveItal. Me: It can also learn moves like Sky Attack, Sucker Punch, and Dark Pulse. Bluefox: This Pokémon is the more aggressive counterpart of Xerneas, who gives life. Me: This Pokémon can almost be called a Grim Reaper. Bluefox: If you make this Pokémon mad, don't bother running, you're already dead. (YveItal makes his cry)
Me: Alright, the combatants are set, lets end this debate once and for all! Bluefox: It's time for a Death Battle!
(YveItal is flying when he sees storms over the water) (He goes over to find Lugia in the water) (YevItal roars and Lugia says "You don't belong here!") Greenfox: Fight! (YevItal drains Lugia's life force and Lugia dies)
Pinkfox: K.O. Me: Lugia was pretty strong but he could not handle getting his life force taken away. Bluefox: The winner is Yve... (Dark Smoke forms around Lugia's body) Me: Wait, What? (Lugia turns into Shadow Lugia and wakes up) Bluefox: Now we're talking!
(YveItal tries to drain Shadow Lugia's life force but it doesn't work) (Shadow Lugia lowers his back spikes and charges at YveItal) (YveItal uses Oblivion Wing and heals himself) (Shadow Lugia grabs YveItal and throws him into the water before flapping his wings and causing a hurricane to happen) (YveItal flies up and uses Sky Attack before Lugia pushes him away) (With YveItal still in his hands he uses Shadow Blast) (YveItal breaks free and flies away) ("No you don't!" Lugia yells before flying after him) (YveItal turns around and uses Sucker Punch) (Lugia falls to the ground and YveItal uses it a second time) (Lugia crawls out of the hole and roars) (He zooms at YveItal and uses Shadow Down, lowering YveItal's defense) (Lugia then follows up with Shadow Storm) (YveItal gets up and uses the rest of his power to launch a Dark Pulse) (It doesn't do much to Lugia and he bites YveItal's neck) (He chomps down further and blood comes flying out of YveItal) (Lugia, with blood on his face, roars and flies away)
Pinkfox: K.O. for real! Bluefox: How did Lugia win? YveItal drained it's life! Me: Yes, but don't forget that Lugia has more than a Life Force, but something that can be called a Death Force, in the form of Shadow Lugia. Bluefox: So, by draining Lugia's life force, he dug his own grave. Me: Also, Shadow Lugia was the Shadow type, meaning that YveItal's type advantage was gone. Bluefox: Looks like YveItal was afraid of the dark! Me: The winner is Lugia.
Next time on Death Battle! (There are 2 cats) (One is pink with a gem on it's head, one is black with yellow markings on it's body)
