Me: They are Lucario, the Cyborg Jackal. Pain: And Garchomp, the land Shark. He's Mewtwofan and I'm Lord of Pain! Me: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills, to find out who would win, A Death Battle.
Pain: Lucario is a bipedal, canine-like Pokémon, with fur that is predominantly blue and black. It possesses a short, round spike on the back of each forepaw, in addition to a third on its chest. Me: It has a long snout and ears. When its mouth is open, it has two pairs of pointed teeth, one in the upper jaw and one in the lower. Pain: It possesses cream-colored fur on its torso, and blue fur on its thighs that resembles shorts. It has a medium length tail of the same blue color as well. Me: It stands on its toes rather than on its entire foot. It has developed four small black appendages on its head, which rise when Lucario reads or manipulates aura, a special energy that it senses. Pain: Lucario can study this energy to predict the movements of their opponents and track their quarry. They also have the power to manipulate this energy in an offensive manner, in the form of explosive spheres of energy. Me: Lucario can understand human speech, and have been reported to communicate with humans through telepathy. Pain: Lucario is considered to be prideful, and is extremely loyal to its Trainer. It also seems to have a natural sense of justice. Me: It usually lives deep in mountains very far from people to improve their skills. It is an exceptionally rare Pokémon. Pain: Though its diet is unknown, one Lucario was seen eating Berries and plants, like roses. It has been seen eating chocolate, even though chocolate is not part of its natural diet. Me: It helps to be a cyborg sometimes, you can eat as much Junk food as you want. Did I mention it's a Steel Type? Pain: His movepool is pretty good, with Iron Defense, Calm Mind, Dragon Pulse, and the unstoppable Aura Sphere. Lucario: Watch the power of the... AURA!!! Me: There's 2 Aura Spheres. There's the normal one, and the one where Lucario flies into the sky and fires one and shoots it across the ground. He can only do this once though. Pain: It's stats aren't half bad ever. 70 in HP, Defense, and Sp. Defense. 90 in Speed, 110 in Attack and 115 in Sp. Attack. Me: It has the ability Inner Focus, which prevents Flinching. But with all this, there's still something bigger, something stronger, Mega Lu... Pain: Pokken Tournament Lucario. Me: That's not what I was thinking. Pain: We'll get to that. Pokken Tournament Lucario has Bone Rush, Extreme Speed, Force Palm, and multiple Aura Spheres. He can also do Grab Attacks, Blocks, and Counter Attacks. Me: And when his burst fills up, he will turn into the unstoppable Mega Lucario. Pain: As Mega Lucario, its cream fur becomes longer, and its thighs slim down. It develops more spikes on the back of its paws, which have turned crimson. Me: It also develops spikes on both of its feet, which have become crimson too. Its aura-sensing appendages grow longer, and two of them are tipped in crimson. Pain: It's shoulders also possess a spike each. Its aura heightens throughout its body, which formed black markings on its blue fur. Me: Mega Lucario was originally believed to be the first discovered Mega Evolution, before Rayquaza was discovered. Stats become better, 70 HP and Sp. Defense, 88 Defense, 112 Speed, 145 Attack and 140 Sp. Attack. Get's Adapdability, which increases the power of STAB Moves. Pain: And when Mega Lucario, he can unleash a Burst Attack, a very powerful burst attack known as Aura Blast. Me: This thing is amazing. When Aura Blast is Unleashed, He will create an Aura Tornado, Punch you into the air, launch Aura Spikes at you, then do an Aura Sphere so powerful, it creates a huge explosion! Pain: Lucario is a very powerful Pokémon, and pretty cool looking too. (Lucario makes his cry)

Pain: The feet have three white talons, and each arm has a single large, white claw for a hand. Curved fins sprout from the arms, creating wings that allow Garchomp to fly. Me: It also has a large dorsal fin and another on its tail that resembles a shark tailfin. The male's dorsal fin has a notch on it. Pain: Pairs of small, white spikes protrude from its upper arms and legs, and there are gill-like slits on the sides of the neck. The eyes are intense, with black scleras and gold-colored irises. Pain: Garchomp can fly at an incredible speed—helped by the fine scales on its body that reduce drag—to catch its prey. Garchomp are cave-dwellers, and are seldom seen in the wild. Me: His stats are amazing, 80 Sp. Attack. 85 Sp. Defense, 102 Speed, 95 Defense, 108 HP and 130 attack. Wow. Pain: He has the ability Sand Vail, with buffs his Evasion in a Sandstorm, and the moves Flamethrower, Earthquake, Dual Chop and HYPER BEAM. Me: And then there's Pokken Garchomp, with Dig, Dragon Claw, Dragon Rush, Stone Edge, and Sand Tomb. Pain: Now, let's get into the exciting stuff! When his Burst fills up, he will become every Pokémon battler's nightmare. Mega, flipping, Garchomp. Me: When Garchomp Mega Evolves, it grows in size and several of its features become more angular, including its head and shoulders. A row of five tooth-like spikes sprouts from each side of its abdomen, and red spikes grow from its knees. Pain: The claws and fins on its arms morph together to form sharp, red blades. Plus, the ability Sand Force, which boosts Rock, Ground, and Steel moves in a Sandstorm. Me: Then, there's the stats. 92 Speed, 95 Sp. Defense, 108 HP, 115 Defense, 120 Sp. Attack, and 170 ATTACK! And then, he still has his burst Attack, Outrage Slammer. Pain: He will Slice you 4 Times, Burrow Underground, Drill Back Up, Launch you into the air, then show off his awesomeness. You know, I can understand why Cynthia uses this as her star Pokémon, you really don't want to face off against this thing! (Garchomp makes his cry)
Me: Alright, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all! Pain: It's time for a Death Battle!

(Garchomp is also on the mountain, he burrows inside and comes back out at the top)
(Lucario is knocked off of the top, but he uses his spikes to grab onto the side)
(He climbs back up to see Garchomp eating his Chocolate)
(Lucario growls, Garchomp looks over and roars)

(Lucario uses Calm Mind to try and confuse Garchomp, but it doesn't work)
(Garchomp starts flying and flies towards Lucario)
(He uses Duel Chop, hitting Lucario twice, which knocks him onto another part of the mountain)
(Lucario's all about plotting, he uses Iron Defense)
(Garchomp growls and uses Flamethrower, which knocks Lucario into a rock)
(Lucario rushes forward and uses Dragon Pulse, which sends Garchomp into a cave)
(Lucario goes into the cave to find Garchomp)
(Garchomp uses Earthquake, causing the cave to collapse on him and Lucario)
(Garchomp burrows out of all the rocks, then turns around)
(Lucario destroys the rocks and uses Aura Sphere on Garchomp)
(Garchomp takes the full blast of it and is launched through the air)
(He turns into flight form and flies towards Lucario, launching a Hyper Beam)

(He then rushes forward and uses Stone Edge, which knocks Lucario Backwards)
(He lands on his knees and rushes towards Garchomp, using Bone Rush, before execuiting a Grab Attack)
(After the grab, Garchomp uses a powerful counter attack, sending Lucario through the air)
(Garchomp uses Dig, burrowing underground)
(He comes back up onto Lucario)
(Lucario uses Force Palm, knocking Garchomp away from him)
(Garchomp uses Sand Tomb, which doesn't do much to Lucario)
(Lucario Launches some less powerful Aura Spheres)

(Lucario is breathing heavy, he activates burst mode, turning into Mega Lucario)
(Garchomp is surprised, Mega Lucario uses Extreme Speed to get to him, then unleashed his burst attack)
(Mega Lucario creates an Aura Tornado, which sucks up Garchomp, he punches Garchomp into the air, then launches some Aura Spikes at him. Mega Lucario launches and extremely powerful Aura Sphere, which causes an explosion.)
(When the explosion clears, Garchomp is on one knee, with very low HP)
(He get's up mad, and unleashes his burst form.)
(Mega Garchomp rushes towards Mega Lucario and uses his Burst Attack)
(He sliced Mega Lucario 4 times before burrowing underground. Mega Garchomp drills back up, hitting Mega Lucario before showing off his awesomeness to the crowd)

(The staff come to get Lucario prepared, Garchomp notices that he's still breathing)

Pain: Wow, that was long. Me: This was by far the closest battle we have ever had. While Lucario and Garchomp had equally good stats in both their normal and Mega Forms and movepools, there was one deciding factor that turned this whole thing around, their types. Pain: Lucario was a Steel Fighting Type, Garchomp was a Dragon/Ground Type. Me: This means that Garchomp isn't weak to Steel like most dragons, but weak to Dragon. While Lucario had Dragon moves, he didn't get stab. Pain: But Lucario was weak to Ground, and Garchomp got STAB on that. Pain: I guess that Stab was the deciding factor, the winner is Garchomp.
