Mewtwo: Dragon. Arguably the strongest type out of all the Pokemon Types.
Pain: There's a reason for this, too. With high stats, fierce movepools, and intimidating designs, Dragons can sweep a team unless you have a floating pair of keys.
Eeveechu: Our resident competitive expert has run into quite a few Fairy types in his days... Isn't that right?
Pain: And they're my worse nightmare.
Peridot: Back on task, most Dragon Pokemon earn the title of legendary Pokemon, or the almost as strong Psuedo-Legendary.
Mewtwo: But there are two 2 stage Dragons from Hoenn who didn't get that special treatment to become even Psuedo Legendaries.
Pain: These two Dragons are also manipulators of Weather, being able to summon Sand and Fog respectively.
Eeveechu: And they would've both had mega evolutions if a room full of artists with tons experience didn't have the same creativity as teens online.
Peridot: Flygon, the Mystic Pokemon.
Mewtwo: And Altaria, the Humming Pokemon.
Pain: He's Mewtwofan and I'm Lord of Pain!
Eeveechu: The name is Eeveechu151.
Peridot: And I'm PeridotPikipek!
Me: And it's our job to analyze their movepools, stats, and abilities to find out who would win, a Death Battle.
Pain: Flygon resembles a slightly insectoid, bipedal dragon. It is primarily light green and has a pair of large rhombus-shaped wings with a red trim, toeless hind legs, and skinny arms with three-clawed hands.
Eeveechu: Its tail has several dark green stripes and three small green rhombus shapes with red trims at the end. It has large eyes, and a pair of green antennae that point back.
Peridot: The eyes have red covers that prevent sand from getting into its eyes. With its wings, it kicks up sandstorms to hide itself.
Mewtwo: Its wings make a "singing" sound when they are flapped, earning Flygon the name "The Desert Spirit". It lives in the desert.
Pain: Hey, that's another connection. Flygon sings and Altaria hums. But, Flygon is unique among the dragon community. Being the only Dragon Type who's in the Bug Egg Group. But he's not a bug Pokemon. Seriously, is it just THAT hard to make a Bug-Dragon around here? First Yanmega, now this.
Eeveechu: Anyway, Flygon has pretty balanced stats, with 80 in HP, both Defenses, and Special Attack. Flygon also has 100 Attack and Speed.
Peridot: Flygon's ability is Levitate, which means that it can't be hit by Ground type moves.
And they also can move 'almost' faster than the human eye can see. Clocking in at almost 1000 Miles per hour with this info, Flygon is also incredibly fast.
Mewtwo: Flygon has been given the moves Earthquake, Rock Tomb, Dragon Claw, and Crunch. And being a Dragon/Ground type, our rejected Yanranitar here is weak to Ice, Dragon, and Fairy, as well as being resistant to Poison, Rock, and Fire. It even has two immunities, Ground and Rock.
Pain: Did you just say, 'rejected Yanranitar'?
Mewtwo: Yes.
Pain: That's pretty mean.
Mewtwo: And?
Pain: Well, Flygon also has another ability. Being able to launch Supersonic Blasts and Shockwaves while flying.
Eeveechu: While being unoriginal, the community loves this guy, and we, well... I do too.
Peridot: Altaria is a blue, avian Pokémon. Its body and cloud-like wings are covered in fluffy, white feathers. It often folds its wings behind it, obscuring its back.
Mewtwo: Two long, blue plumes extend like streamers from the back of its head. It has a short, hooked beak and prominent cheek patches, both of which are white. Additionally, it has beady, black eyes.
Pain: It has a long neck and short legs protruding from its fluffy body. The feet are blue with four toes, three claws forward and one backward. The tail is made up of five feathers, the outer two being longer than the inner ones.
Eeveechu: This Pokémon uses its wings to catch updrafts and soar across the sky. It gracefully glides through the clouds, often while singing or humming in a soprano voice.
Peridot: Its voice seems to have special properties which induce a dreamy state for listeners. Altaria can be very affectionate, enveloping people it has bonded with in its cotton-like wings.
Mewtwo: Altaria is often found living in forests, though it also inhabits mountain ranges. It is known for its sociable personality and is not timid.
Pain: Altaria comes with the ability Cloud Nine, which negates the effect of weather. They also have the moves Cotton Guard, Ice Beam, Dragon Pulse, and Moonblast.
Eeveechu: Altaria is weak to Rock, Ice, Dragon, and Fairy, begin resistant to Fighting, Bug, Fire, Water, and Grass while being immune to Ground-Type attacks.
Peridot: When the going gets tough, Altaria can create gusts of fog, as well as being able to create blue flames and Twisters. Now, Trenton, do you have any Roasts for this Beautiful Specimen?
Mewtwo: Only if you consider a hairless Ostrich wearing a cloud Beautiful.
Mewtwo: Alright, the combatants are set!
Pain: And the research has been looked over.

(It’s a hill, on Alola Route 12)
(Birds are chirping and flying around)
(There’s an Altaria sleeping in a nest.)
(They are awoken to the sound of singing)
(Altaria gets up and flies over to the ocean)
(There’s a Sandstorm, Altaria flies into it)
(Flygon is at the center of it, it turns around when it hears humming)
(The sandstorm disappears, and Fog covers the area)
(Flygon sees Altaria, and calls out with their battle cry, which Altaria returns)
FIGHT!
(Flygon uses Rock Tomb, knocking Altaria out of the sky)
(Altaira plummets towards Earth, crashing into the sand)
(They look up, barely being able to see Flygon flying in Circles)
(Altaria fires a Beam of Ice towards Flygon, but it misses him by a mile)
(Flygon flies down and Dragon Claws Altaria, sending them under the sand)
(They are burrowed down a few feet)
(Flygon looks in the hole that Altaria went into, only to be blasted in the face with Dragon Pulse)
(Flygon shakes it off, Altaria flys back up and lands in front of him)
(The two lock eyes, as Flygon screeches and Crunches down onto Altaria)
(Altaria breaks free, and Flygon takes to the sky again)
(There’s a Supersonic Boom which throws Altaria smack into the side of the nearby mountain)
(Altaria stands on the tip of the Mountain, and raises their defense with Cotton Guard)
(The entire Earth starts to Quake, and Altaria flies back up into the sky)
(Altaria flies back down when it stops shaking)
(Flygon flies right towards Altaria like a Torpedo)
(A twister appears, right in Flygon’s path)
(Flygon tries to back off, but flies straight into the tornado)
(It begins to suck up trees, flying into the tornado and smacking Flygon)
(The Tornado lets loose, sending Flygon crashing into the ocean with a huge splash)
(Altaria gets up and flies over to the secluded shore)
(Flygon dives out of the water, flying towards Altaria)
(A Blast Rains down from the Moon)
(Flygon is knocked out of the air and skids across the ground)
(Flygon growls, looking up at Altaria)
(They fly up and Crunch Altaria, but they kick them off)
(Altaria uses Cotton Guard again, once again raising their defense)
(The ground shakes again, Altaria is unharmed)
(They shoot a Dragon Pulse, blasting Flygon in the face and cracking one of the glass contacts around their eyes)
(Now Flygon is angry)
(They fly into the air, flying in circles above Altaria)
(Altaria becomes dizzy, and Flygon dive bombs right on top of them)
(Flygon uses the opportunity when Altaria’s dazed to Dragon Claw them, cutting the cloud)
(Altaria looks down at the cloud, then back at Flygon)
(Altaria’s mouth cools down, then they launch a beam of Ice out of it)
(It hits Flygon directly in the face)
(The contacts around Flygon’s eyes completely shatter)
(There’s a very menacing laugh, and a Rock Tomb pokes up from the ground, cutting off Altaria’s wings)
(Altaria screams in agony and falls to the ground, unable to get up)
(They use the last of their energy to create another Moonblast, stunning Flygon for just a second)
(As Flygon walks forward to deliver the final blow, a circle of blue fire surround them)
(The flame ignites on Flygon, charring their skin)
(Flygon tries to fly away, but can’t)
(The flames burn away Flygon’s Body)
(Flygon’s dead body topples into the ocean, the waves turning red)
(Pokemon Center employees load Altaria into a truck, taking them to a Pokemon Center)
(Later, Altaria is flying around with prosthetic wings)

Pain: Did you steal the ending from How to Train Your Dragon?
Mewtwo: Yes, yes I did.
Eeveechu: Flygon was skilled in many categories, but it wasn’t enough to match Altaria.

Peridot: Flygon clocks out at almost 1000 MPH. Clearly the speed advantage. General stats put HP, Attack, and Special Attack in their favor, too.
Mewtwo: Movepool and Typing go to Altaria due to them having a immunity to one of Flyon’s Stabs and having many different moves to handle a Pokemon of Flygon’s type.
Pain: Ability goes to Altaria as well thanks to the Cloud Nine ability which can get rid of weather conditions, such as Flygon’s fog.
Eeveechu: Couldn’t find anything for Overall Strength or Stamina, but though Flygon can put up a good effort, they can’t take down Altaria.
Peridot: The winner is Altaria.

And the battle was really neat to read. It really was a close one but I am glad Altaria one since I was rooting for that pokemon to win!
