Pokecharms is...where we are now.
It's filled with creative works and they're undoubtedly fun to look through.
But, that doesn't mean some things can get dark.
So, here's 5 examples of dark moments in stories made by Pokecharms users.
A quick disclaimer:
I'm only using dark moments I have seen, so if you've seen a dark moment, tell me what in the comments.
Sorry @Eeveechu151, no Green Arrow: Eternal...
So here's 5 of the Darkest Moments in Pokecharms Works.
Number 5
Primarina - Adventures in Alola
Adventures in Alola was a comic series made by user @AOBA DAH WEAVILE.
She made a ton of art, and got popular way too quickly.
Eventually, people realized she stole other people's work and was exposed shortly after.
But in the pages, there was something...unsettling.
In one of the pages, Sparkling the Popplio comes home from school, and greets her dad, a Samurott, as well as her brother, Jason the Dewott.
But she also greets her mom, which is a Primarina, only to be revealed in the same page that she was talking to a portrait.
This of course hints at the fact that Sparkling's mom is gone, either dead, or has been taken away.
A couple pages later, the Samurott is seen at night, mourning the Primarina, as Sparkling listens in horror.
Samurott says things like "I failed you," and "I should've done better," and other self-pity statements.
This proves that the family is unstable without the Primarina, and this is further proven in future pages, where the family goes to collect berries, and a trainer comes by, with a Riolu and a Fennekin, referencing the Kalos Divas from previous artwork.
Samurott scares the trainer away, lecturing Sparkling to stay away from humans.
Could Primarina have been caught by trainers? I don't know. And you don't know.
All we know is, the Primarina means something.
Number 4
Dystopia - Journeys Beyond
@Luke The Riolu is one of the more forgettable artists on Pokecharms.
I like him a lot, to be quite honest. He makes a lot of really good art.
I especially like "Battles Of The Depths" because I like seeing wild Pokemon fight when they're not commanded by a trainer.
Anyway, he's in a close relationship with Aoba, and so he created a series inspired by it, The Great Pokemon War, eventually renamed Journeys Beyond.
I liked it, even though I was wrongly depicted as a girl...but, I'm just being an asshole now.
The comic had a similar art style with AIA, and things escalated quickly in Page 4.
It starts out light-hearted as usual, with Alondra the Sneasel, Luke the Riolu, Bell the Bellossom, and Shiela the Buneary all deciding what moves they should use in a Double Battle.
However, the date changes to a burning volacano with an older Luke and Hariko the Kirlia, who are [almost] in a relationship.
They talk about how they don't want to hurt each other, and how they have to remember those times when they were kids.
They're wielding lethal weapons, despite the fact that Luke's not a Lucario and Hariko isn't a Gardevoir.
The location is East Sinnoh, which makes sense, because there are a lot of Sinnohian Pokemon on the scene: Empoleon, Manaphy, Infernape, and Cacturne.
Hariko even says she lost Crystie the Mawile, who is her best friend.
Jesus, Luke!
Number 3
Best Before - The Bidoof Chronicles
Unlike Luke, @Aura is a flipping celebrity.
She makes a lot of art, Pokemon or not.
However, one of her artwork, Best Before, takes place in the back room of the Abandoned Thrifty Megamart from Pokemon Sun and Moon.
Or maybe not, I can't tell.
Things get creepy when you notice everything's beaten up, but things only get creepier when you see the Clefairy Demon.
Hey, there's a Clefairy doll in the Abandoned Thrifty Megamart...
Oh well, I think it still looks a lot like it, with the Mimikyu or without it.
Because this is just one picture and not a series, I don't have much more to say about it.
But it still is terrifying, imagine seeing that Clefairy doll in the games...
Number 2
Darkstripe and Brokenstar - Spooky Cats For The Spooky Holidays
@Dootletail is a Warriors enthusiast who draws mostly Warriors-themed art.
However, she did a "special" series of artwork, drawing the scariest cats from the series.
The spookiest were Darkstripe and Brokenstar.
every one of the cats she drew had blood stains all over them, and were either doing a weak or insane pose.
Darkstripe took the cake for the most malicious one.
Darkstripe has been known for being the most asshole-like character in the series, but here, he seems like he's parodying vampire movies with the lightning in the back.
Serious or not, you wouldn't feel safe if you were a cat and this monster would be right in front of you.
Next is Brokenstar, who is just a pile of blood.
Brokenstar, behind Tigerstar, is the most evil, most menacing and malicious character Warriors has ever seen.
He abused his clan, and was blinded after being driven out by Luke Skywalker Harry Potter Tony Stark Firepaw. Yes, an apprentice took out a leader.
Anyway, Brokenstar was always a terrifying cat to read in the Warriors books, and was depicted the same way in Dootle's drawing.
Number 1
Braviary Beheads Mandibuzz - Death Battle
Mewtwofan259 is a beloved 'Charms user, mostly known for his hit series, Death Battle.
Of course, he knew a real one existed on YouTube, but it was entirely Pokemon this time.
However, he left after he released his last one, Zekrom VS Reshiram.
Braviary VS Mandibuzz was a battle of version-exclusive birds from Gen 5, Mewtwo's favorite generation.
Alain's Unfezant Vs. Ash's Talonflame was pretty neat, so what could go wrong?
A death is a more brutal fashion, of course.
Mewtwo's battles are gory, butI'm not going to read every Death Battle, so the one I found the most dark was Braviary VS Mandibuzz's death, where Braviary beheads Mandibuzz with its talons.
Imagine that.
You see two birds fighting, and then one of them just chokes the opponent and rips out their throat.
Yeah, that's pretty brutal.
The battle that came to a close second was Lugia VS Yveltal, where Lugia turns into XD001, or Shadow Lugia. And you can't get more gory than Shadow Lugia.
Something like beheading is not something you would expect from a justiced Pokemon like Braviary...maybe it would've been more fitting if Mandibuzz did that.
Not calling bullshit.
So, yeah, that was my list!
I had a lot of fun with this one, and that's because I got to make other 'Charms users feel included, which is not something other 'Charms users do.
I'd feel great if I were in a Top 10!
So why not give other people that feeling?
I'd like to do more of these, like "Top5 Pokemon Written Works on Pokecharms" or something like that.
This is being the Dopest of Leafeon, and I hope you all have a fabulous day!
