Pastel colors fly
The darkness flees from the sun
Climbing ever high

Waves of heat expand
Rivulets of sweat roll down
Merciless sun burns

Blood streaks the skyline
Ocean devours the sun
Night overwhelms me

Stars speckle the sky
Vast black canvas yearns for paint
I slip into sleep
