@Heracross of Karate Madoka (full name Puella Magi Madoka Magica) is a magical girl anime about a girl named Madoka and her friends, who become magical girls after befriending the catlike creature Kyubey and are told they have to battle creatures called witches. I can't say much more without spoiling the whole story.
Dangan Ronpa is a series of games where the characters are manipulated by Monokuma (the black and white bear in the picture) to kill each other, and the main protagonist has to figure out who the killer is in each chapter of the game. It's also been adopted into an anime, though I highly recommend either playing the game yourself or watching someone else's LP of it.
