Once upon a frickin' frick, I liked a series called Random Doom.
If you don't know what that is, it's a series on DeviantArt created by user TamarinFrog that had Pokemon as the main cast and ended about a month ago.
Characters include Veruka the Infernape, Vincent the Lucario, Rupert the Toxicroak, Cotton the Shiny Lopunny, Napoleon the Floatzel, Scratch the Pachirisu, Sibelius the Chatot, Ross the Raichu, Saria the Leafeon, Matthew the Honchkrow, Elizabeth the Vespiquen, Edna the Mismagius, Zorro the Mothim, and more.
As you can see, this was based off of Tammy's Pokemon Pearl file.
Over the course of 11 years, the series has had 20 comic strips, 8 chapters of stories, and too many characters to count.
I was hooked when I came across this series, and listened to a channel called...Random Doom Read Aloud.
Why can't they use a more manly word like Comic Dub? Your guess is as good as mine.
However, the channel only uploaded 3 chapters, before they got pressured and stopped making videos.
So I made my own with Pokemon I had experience with...
er, actually, I had no experience with them at all.
The stories are kept in 4th Grade writing papers that I recycled, so I can't look at them anymore.
Unfortunately, I had no experience with almost none of the Pokemon, so it got boring after a while.
Plus, there are already plenty of Random Doom clones on DeviantArt.
None of them came close to Tammy's.
But, surprisingly, I haven't seen any Random Doom clones on 'Charms.
Therefore, I have nothing to copy, so I'm on board with making this...but 'Charms.
My original idea was that I'd make something called Pokesona Brawlout, where I'd grab Pokesonas from across 'Charms and pit them against each other in a Smash Bros. style story.
But, I realized it would be much better if everyone was living a casual life.
I plan to call it Charmed Adventures, because, y'know, it's on 'Charms and there are adventures.
I would make it into an RP, but then it would die before it would start.
So I'm more on the 'make this a written series' side.
Because I'm not great at art, it's not going to be a full Random Doom clone.
(If a genie came out of a magic lamp, that would be the first thing I'd wish for, trust me.)
However, my signature Pokesona, Greenie...looks terrible.
I could just make a few minor changes to make him more of a character than a happy goody two-shoes, but I'm not going to make Charming Adventures a thing until I do.
But personally, I think it would be really cool to see a bunch of Pokesonas that don't get attention other than Q&As and put them all under the same roof.
And if no artist wants to do it, it can still be a writing collab.
And if no good writer wants to do it, I'll do it.
And I know no one wants to see me do it.
I know some really good writers, so there's a chance that they might want to do it if they think it's a good idea.
So, yeah. There's Charming Adventures for you. A written series made by the best writers on 'Charms, starring the best Pokesonas on 'Charms, made to give Pokesonas purpose.
That's a really good slogan...
But what do I know, apparently, none of my ideas are good...
