The Chronicles of Tim Wood: Chapter Ten - The Search For Dialga

by Mockingchu

Mockingchu Tim Wood begins his search for the Legendary Pokemon of Time. However, Team Gaea is close behind.
Tim and Dewgong sped through the warm waters that once were the shores of Alola. But Team Gaea had sunk Alola. Now, they were four small islands at the bottom of the ocean.
Tim hoped to reach Sinnoh in two days. It had taken him three to reach the former Alolan Sea, but it was a shorter distance from Alola to Sinnoh. Still, fatigue and hunger were taking their toll on Dewgong. They were moving much slower than before.
Suddenly, Tim saw something massive shoot by. He craned his neck to try to see it, but it had vanished. It zipped by again. Could it be a massive water type Pokemon? Maybe a Gyrados or Sharpedo? Tim sure hoped not. It shot by again, and seemed even bigger than before. Tim patted on Dewgong's head, signaling that they needed to speed up. Dewgong began swimming faster, and the beast followed them. Tim turned to get a closer look. What he saw almost made him laugh and burst the bubble of air around his head.
The "beast" was no beast! It was school of Finneon. Tim smiled, and signaled that Dewgong could take it slower.
Three hours later, Dewgong was ready to simply faint. But she had to keep going. She had to help Tim. She had to help the rest of the world. But she just couldn't manage to keep swimming. She blacked out, and began sinking to the bottom of the ocean.
Tim furiously kicked towards the surface, and returned Dewgong to her Pokeball. After a few minutes, Tim reached the surface of the water, and the bubble of air that had helped him in the water dissipated into the atmosphere. Tim couldn't go back underwater. He had to keep treading.
Tim treaded water for two hours. Then, his muscles became too sore to keep treading. He began to slowly fall into the water. But all of a sudden, he spotted a yacht on the horizon. It wasn't nearly big enough to be a Team Gaea ship, so Tim screamed out for help. The yacht approached him, and Tim saw people leaning over the side of the boat. They were all armed with weapons. The yacht stopped about seven meters away from Tim, and a buoy was thrown out to him. He grabbed on, and was pulled onto the ship. When he stood up, soaking wet, he saw a tall man with an unkempt brown beard, and brown hair running down to the small of his back.
"What 'ave we got 'ere?" the man asked, lifting up Tim's chin.
"My- my name's Tim Wood," Tim responded in a shaky voice. Something about this man scared him. Maybe it was the two pistols he had at his belt.
"Tim Wood? Now what were you doin' in the water?"
"I come from Hoenn. But I had to-"
"We got us a Hoenn-folk now do we?" the man chuckled, "We ain't seen a Hoenn-folk ever. Y'all so lucky livin' on yer land. We be stuck 'ere in the ocean! We ain't gon' charge onto Hoenn shores. Gaea would shoot us dead in a second!"
"They shoot anyone dead in a second," Tim said, "That's why I ran away."
"So 'ow'd you get all the way out 'ere? You got the little 'Mons?"
"Pokemon? Yes," Tim nodded, "I do have Pokemon."
"Show me 'em," the man ordered.
Tim let all of his Pokemon out.
"Nice collection," the man mused, "I want 'em."
"No way," Tim said, shaking his head.
"Back in the ocean with 'im lads!" the man boomed. Crewmembers rushed over to grab Tim. Sceptile beat them to it, and defended him. Exploud grabbed the captain, and flung him off of the ship. Houndoom, Manectric, and Mightyena all dragged crewmembers off the boat. After a few minutes of fighting, Tim and his Pokemon had taken control of the yacht. The tossed overboard a few life rafts, so that all of the crewmembers could survive. He also threw over food.
Sceptile found the captain's large white hat, and pulled it on. Sceptile was going to be the new captain. He looked at a map that was beside the controls. It was a map of what the world used to look like. When regions stuck out of the water. Now, he had to use it to navigate to the sunken region of Sinnoh. He charted a course, and set sail.
The yacht sailed smoothly for about eighteen hours. Then, just as the sun was peeking over the horizon, Tim, who was in the crow's nest, spotted trouble. A massive naval warship. A Team Gaea warship. And it was headed straight for the yacht. Tim got out of the crow's nest, and ran over to Dewgong, who had been resting.
"Dewgong, do you think you're strong enough to swim again?" Tim asked.
"Dew-dew..." Dewgong sighed.
"We might have to," Tim said apologetically.
"Gong..."
"Look Dewgong, we're a lot closer to Sinnoh now," Tim explained, "Since we've gotten this yacht, we've moved a lot quicker. We could probably swim there in four hours at most. Please Dewgong."
Dewgong looked up with a confidence in her eyes, "Dew!"
"That's the spirit!" Tim beamed, then looked up to where Sceptile was steering, "Keep heading towards Sinnoh Sceptile! We'll jump ship at the last second."
"Scep!" Sceptile nodded.
They sailed for a few more minutes, but then, the warship blocked them so they couldn't go any farther. Tim called all of his Pokemon except Dewgong back into their Pokeballs.
"Ready Dewgong?" Tim asked.
"Gong-gon!" Dewgong nodded.
"Then let's go," Tim smiled, getting on the back of the seal. They dove into the water, and Dewgong immediately blew a bubble of air around Tim's head.
They shot through the water, but not before someone in the bottom of the warship spotted them, and alerted the rest of the crew. The warship turned, and began to follow Tim and Dewgong. Tim patted Dewgong's head quickly, asking her to go faster. She nodded, and flapped her tail quicker than ever. They sped up, moving at the same pace as the warship. But the warship had torpedoes.
WHOOSH!
Tim turned to see a red and blue missile speeding straight towards him and Dewgong. He rolled under Dewgong, and pulled her down to avoid the torpedo. Dewgong smiled at Tim, thanking him. Tim got back onto her back, and they continued swimming quickly.
WHOOSH!
Another torpedo. This time, Dewgong knew what was coming. She moved upwards, and the torpedo sped by, missing them.
Suddenly, Tim spotted something that almost made him yell in joy. He saw mountains. The Coronet Mountain Range. They were close. As they neared the mountains, Tim could make out a platform on top of the highest mountain. And chained to the platform were two massive Pokemon.
Dialga and Palkia.
They were so close. But so was Team Gaea. And if Team Gaea got their hands on Dialga or Palkia...
A particularly scary thought entered Tim's head. What if he freed Dialga, but Dialga still refused to listen? Tate and Liza had never quite explained how to make Dialga listen. Tim had to assume Dialga would simply be grateful that it had been freed from the chains. But there was always the chance that it would simply leave Tim.
WHOOSH!
Yet another torpedo. But Tim and Dewgong couldn't simply dodge it. It might speed into Spear Pillar and free Dialga and Palkia. And if Tim's guess was right, that would mean that the Pokemon of Space and Time would be under Team Gaea's control.
"Dewgong," Dewgong said. Tim couldn't speak Pokemon, but he knew what Dewgong was saying. Tim shook his head, but Dewgong would listen. She used to her tail to propel Tim forward, then turned and swam towards the torpedo.
BOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Tim refused to turn and look. Dewgong had sacrificed herself so Tim could free Dialga and turn back time. He could save the world. He swam harder than ever, and reached Spear Pillar. Dialga and Palkia screeched, ready to be freed. Tim sent out Sceptile, and Sceptile slashed through the chain holding Dialga. He turned to cut Palkia's chain, but a torpedo beat him to it. Sceptile exploded, along with the chain that held down Palkia. Team Gaea had freed Palkia.
Tim swam to get on Dialga's back, and pointed upwards. Dialga nodded, and they shot out of the water, hovering above the ocean. Palkia flew onto Team Gaea's ship, and Tim saw Terre get on its back.
"Tim Wood!" Terre called, gliding over on Palkia, "I'm glad that I get to be the one to kill you! But, before you die, I want you to know that the Resistance has been crushed. Your futile attack simply allowed us to destroy your entire army. And Wallace? I got to be the one who put a bullet in his head."
"You're a monster!" Tim screamed.
"I know," Terre smiled, "And I love it."
"Dialga! Destroy them!" Tim ordered, tears streaming down his face. He couldn't lose here. This whole mission would have been for nothing. And Team Gaea would continue to rule Hoenn.
Dialga roared, and blue flames shot out of its mouth and towards Palkia. Palkia put its arms together, and formed a purple protective orb around itself. Dialga sped at Palkia, and broke the protective orb. The two Pokemon clashed ruthlessly while Tim and Terre held on for dear life. Tim knew he should just be heading back into the past, but he wanted to kill Terre. Terre deserved to die. He was a terrorist. And Tim would be the one to end him.
Dialga bit down on Palkia's neck, while Palkia struggled to get away.
"Palkia! Spacial Rend! Now!" Terre boomed.
Palkia swiped its arms downwards, creating purple tears in the air.
"Off you go," Terre said with fake sweetness. The rips in space began to widen, and Dialga and Tim were pulled closer. Tim knew what these were. He'd read about the powers of Dialga and Palkia in an old book. These were portals to another Multiverse. But Tim had to save this one. So maybe he wouldn't kill Terre now, but he'd make sure to lock him up in the past.
"Dialga! Roar! Of! Time!"
Dialga roared, and Tim's vision began to flicked. Different shades of blue swirled around him and Dialga.
"Dia," Dialga said, looking very proud.
"I have a feeling you know where, or more specifically when, I want to go," Tim said. Dialga nodded. The blue colors began to slow down, until they disappeared, along with Dialga. Tim was standing on Spear Pillar. Dialga and Palkia were nowhere to be seen. Sinnoh was above sea level again. There was still time to save the world. But Tim had to get back to Hoenn.
"Go Houndoom!" Tim called, "Get us off of this mountain!"
Tim got on Houndoom's back, and they bounded down the mountain. They reached Oreburgh City, and continued running until they reached Jubilife City. Jubilife was the biggest city in Sinnoh, and it had one of Sinnoh's biggest airports. JIT. Jubilife International Travel. Tim returned Houndoom to his Pokeball, and entered JIT. However, he was in for a rude awakening when he remembered that he didn't have money. So, he sneaked around JIT, and hid on a plane carrying everyone's bag. He curled up next to a blue suitcase, and fell asleep.

When Tim woke up, he could feel the plane bouncing. They were landing. He got up, and got ready to run. The door was opened, and Tim leapt out.
"Hey! Get back here!" yelled the man in charge of the luggage.
Tim didn't look back. He was in Hoenn. He could find Team Gaea's secret base, and destroy the Submerger. The only problem was that he didn't have the faintest idea about where Team Gaea's secret base was. And he couldn't have any help. Tim had watched enough movies to know that if you mess around too much in the past, it will screw everything up. If he asked a gym leader for help, they'd ask why he looked so much older, and when they saw his other self, the self the was still thirteen, they might tell the thirteen year old Tim that they saw an impostor of him, when really it was just sixteen year old Tim.
So yeah, getting help from gym leaders was not an option.
"Are you okay?" came a voice. Tim turned to see a young woman in purple athletic shorts and a light blue t-shirt.
"Uh, yeah," Tim nodded. Then he looked down at himself. He was bloodied and bruised. He didn't look okay.
"Were you in a bicycle accident or something?" the woman asked, "Should I call someone for help? Maybe Watson? He's the gym leader here."
"We're in Mauville?" Tim asked.
"You don't know where you are? You probably had a concussion! I'll call Nurse Joy right now."
"No. Don't call. I'm fine. Really, I am."
"Oh, okay," the woman said, jogging off, "Stay off of bicycles!"
Tim turned and ran the other way, towards Mauville. He saw a large steel tower, with electricity crackling around the top. He entered the tower, and stepped into an elevator. He pressed the button that said "S", and waited. Finally, he reached the top floor. The scanner floor. The elevator doors opened, and Tim saw two scientists hunched over a table with a green screen on it. Tim walked over, and saw what they were looking at. A massive ring of strange materials around Hoenn.
The Submerger.
"We have to destroy this evidence," one scientist whispered.
"If Watson finds out, he'll try to destroy the Submerger," the other agreed.
"There will be no destroying of evidence today," Tim stated, "Only destroying of you two."
"Wha-what?" one scientist cried.
"Go Houndoom! Go Manectric! Use Inferno and Thunder!"
Houndoom roared, sending flames at one scientist, while Manectric shocked the other with a massive lightning bolt.
"Nice job," Tim smiled. Then he turned to the scanner. The Submerger wasn't just one machine. Tim should've guessed. If that were the case, many parts of Hoenn would've sunk. He would need help. He couldn't do this on his own. But maybe he could manage to get help without anyone remembering. He needed to go to Mossdeep City.
