Maria’s point-of-view, fifth day of the Butterfly Month, 170th year since the first ‘celestial children.’
While Adriana was taking register of all the guests, I went up to my room and changed into a more formal dress. A silver dress with a wide, knee-length skirt, a bit of purple fabric reaching from just under my chest to the skirt of the dress, where it was snipped to go over the top of the skirt. Accessorising the outfit was a pair of silvery shoes with purple ribbons on top of them and a silver silk headband.
When I went back down, Elisia had left the dining room, so she must have checked through the guest list by then.
“Ah, Miss Maria, you look amazing!” Christopher commented, dusting down his dusky red suit.
“T-thank you.” I muttered, feeling my face heat up immediately.
Soon enough, the guests started to filter in to the room, led by Adriana, before Elisia had gotten ready, though some of the marchionesses were showing up themselves.
“May I ask you, where is the Supreme Duchess?” someone, the same height as me, with straight, brushed away and back light blue hair, almost fin-like ears and blue eyes, asked as she walked up to me.
“I think she is getting ready, so she would be in her room.” I responded quite plainly.
“Oh, I see, I will wait then.”
