Chapter 13: Precious Gems
The trainers all sent out their ace Pokemon at the sight of another Ultra Beast. This one seemed intent on a fight. Luxio, Frogadier, Lopunny, Quilava, Braixen, Torracat, Dartrix and Brionne all stood to protect their trainers. The mysterious Pokemon used Power Gem, summoning several glowing rocks, that it hurled towards the Pokemon. They dodged them, but in the tight passages of the Conservation Area, they had nowhere left to run. The Ultra Beast started charging up another attack, until it was hit by a flurry of attacks, Spark, Water Pulse, Jump Kick, Flame Wheel, Fire Spin, Razor Leaf, Fire Fang, Bubblebeam. An array of attacks hit the UB as the Pokemon jumped into the fray to protect their trainers. That was when the UB had enough. It floated back towards the portal, leaving, as reality twisted back to it's original position. Lusamine stared obsessively to where it had once been, a surprisingly evil look in her eye. "I will find it. I must find it." The others seemed worried for her, but Wicke escorted them away as quickly as she could. She set them up with a boat that would take them to Ula'Ula island. The group hopped off the boat eventually, landing in the large and colourful Malie City. "Wow!" Hau exclaimed. "This place is so huge! And different! I wonder what kind of malasada they make here!" They saw posters for the Relic Bazaar being in Malie Garden, and they decided to set off there.
Once they reached the center of Malie Garden, they explored the travelling Relics Bazaar. They had everything here. Ice Stones, Everstones, Thunder Stones... the list went on. However, a man with crazy white hair and yellow, weirdly shaped shades walked in, with loads of Team Skull Grunts. "Listen up! I, big bad Guzma of Team Skull, am here to take all these stones off your hands!" He shouted. "Whether you like it... or not!" He growled. The group sent out their pokemon. The grunts were not a challenge, Braixen and Torracat teaming up to take out three of their Pokemon. Dartrix and Brionne covered the back, taking out three more grunts. Guzma had three strong pokemon, Masquerain, Ariados and Golisopod. Frogadier and Luxio took out Masquerain, with a Water Pulse and a Spark. Ariados was defeated by Lopunny and Quilava, two swift strikes from Flame Wheel and Jump Kick. However, all the groups Pokemon were too tired to defeat the titan that was Golisopod. It swung powerful attacks from it's four arms, throwing any Pokemon that challenged it into the dirt. Rose pulled out Drifloon's pokeball while no-one was looking. "If I get Golisopod to under half health, it'll retreat because of it's ability, Emergency Exit." She thought to herself. While Guzma gloated, and Golisopod started to smash up the Bazaar, Drifloon snook up behind it. It was engulfed in a white glow, that Golisopod noticed in the reflection of a piece of shattered Thunder Stone. He turned around to be greeted by a far larger Pokemon. "Drif... Drif... Loooooo!" It blew Golisopod back with a Gust attack. Golisopod attempted to block with it's arms, but eventually was overwhelmed by the wind and flew into one of the Bazaar tables, smashing through it. It's ability activated, and it retracted back into it's Pokemon. Guzma looked like he was going insane. "GAH! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!" Team Skull retreated across the golden bridges of Malie Garden. The owner of the Bazaar approached the group. "Thank you for saving my stall from those ruffians! As a reward, you can use any stones you want, as long as they didn't break them."
Rose looked down to see Eevee, curiously prodding a bit of shattered crystal on the floor. "Wait Eevee! Don't eat that!" It was too late, Eevee swallowed it completely, evolving into a Glaceon. Rose went up and hugged it. "Phew. I was worried it might be glass or something. The Ice Stone must affect Eevee in some way, I've only ever heard of these on Mount Lanakila." Ama used a Fire Stone and a Dawn Stone, now having Arcanine and Gallade on her team. Lillie's Petilil became a Lilligant, and Hau's Pikachu became a special Alolan Raichu. Hau and Sun decided to have a battle, like they did on Akala. Hau's new Alolan Raichu managed to defeat Passimian with ease, but Lycanroc got revenge. Leafeon defeated Lycanroc, leaving it all up to Dartrix. He beat Leafeon, but not Torracat. Hau celebrated happily. "Yes! I finally won!" Sun smiled to see him happy, and the group went to get a bus up Mount Hokulani, for their 5th Trial.
