Edward Bierman stepped outside and had a breath of fresh air. He felt peace and harmony. It was his first day of his new school. Unlike most kids who would rather do something else than attending school. Edward had just moved in the neighborhood so he wanted to make some friends.
"Then I'll start complaining about school," The boy thought.
Standing next to Edward, was his Axew or Axe as Edward nicknamed him. Axe was excited to explore more than anything else. Axe didn't want to go to a school. Axe looked at Edward, his best friend. They had been together for most of Axe's life. Axe was curious of what he was thinking.
Edward looked back at Axe and they simultaneously nodded, one signaling to get going, the other one nodding because he liked nodding. Edward then started running to the school he was going to, using a map on his phone as a guide.
10 Minutes Later...
Edward was standing at the entrance of the school. Axe stood next to him. Edward observed the other students. There was a student with an Oshawott a Student with a Treecko and a Student with an evolved form of Oshawott. The 6 of them walked in together but the student with the Dewott walked somewhere else. Edward proudly walked into the school. Axe followed Edward with caution. They were in the hallway. It was really spacious and had a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Edward walked up to what he thought was the receptionist's desk.
"Hi There, I just moved here, could I please have a schedule?"
20 Minutes Later...
Edward and Axe were assigned to Class A in Grade 7. There were approximately 20 other students in the grade and there were 11 other students in his class. They were standing outside of the Battling Classroom. Edward was at the back of the line, behind the boy with the Oshawott. Edward wondered who he was. While Edward was thinking, the Teacher had opened the classroom door and students began to walk in. Axe walked in before Edward. The Room was massive. It had desks but there was a huge space for a battlefield. There was also another door which Edward guessed was an escape route.
"Have a seat please," A man said in the middle of the classroom, facing the desks. There was only 1 seat left which was next to a Brown Haired girl and a little Happiny. Edward had no clue what the Pokemon was. Edward sat down next to her.
"Hi, I'm Edward and this is my Partner, Axe the Axew," Edward said to her.
"My names Lucy, It's a pleasure to meet you, this is my partner Happiny," Lucy replied, diverting attention to Happiny. The Teacher called out before they could continue conversing.
"Greetings student's my name is Mr. Carnago. I participated in the Sinnoh League 2 years ago so I know what I'm doing when it comes to battling," Mr. Carnago said. Mr. Carnago knew it was slightly rude but it was his first class he ever had to teach.
"If you ever need anything, I can help you with it. Today for a pre test, we will be doing practical work, I have assigned you all a person to battle in the class, we can make it a tournament if we have time," Mr. Carnago said. Edward was excited. He liked battling but other people looked like they were scared. Lucy was looking stressed.
"I don't like watching Pokemon get injured," Lucy explained.
Mr. Carnago finished writing on the board, it had the 12 students on the board matched up with another student. The Board Read
Lucy glanced a mean look at a boy with black hair. Edward guessed it was Zeke.
"That's Alex right there, with the Oshawott," Lucy said as she pointed to the boy with the Oshawott, sitting at the front of the room, laughing with the girl with the Treecko.
"Now if you would all follow me please," Mr. Carnago said. he opened the door, revealing 10 battlefields.
"Please go find your partner and battle, we don't have all the time in the world you know," Mr. Carnago said with a chuckle.
Edward walked up to his position on the battlefield and called out to Alex.
"Hi, I'm Edward, I guess we need to battle now," Edward called to Alex.
"Yeah, okay, see ya Amber!" Alex called out to Amber while walking to his position on the battlefield.
"Okay Battle Begin!"
