Talli was a Firebender on Air Temple Island. Her parents were Airbenders, her grandparents were Airbenders, and so was about every generation in her family. Talli was different. Talli awoke on the morning of her Eleventh Birthday, to a bright light shining through her window. Her mother walked into her room, a couple of waffles, and a cup of lichi juice on a tray.
"Happy Birthday Talli!" her mother announced, as she set the tray on Talli's night stand.
"Since it's my birthday..." Talli hesitated. "Do I have to go to my Airbending classes?"
Talli had special Airbending classes, because her parents believed that she was meant to be an Airbender, and that it was in her heart somewhere. Talli, personally hated every second of these classes, and sometimes wished she could run to the fire nation.
"You still have to go, I'm afraid." her mother implied, as she walked out of the room.
Talli groaned, as she got out of bed, and put on her itchy Airbending uniform for her training. She ate her waffles quickly, and gulped down her lichi juice, before she headed out the door, and to her lesson. When she arrived at the steps, Tenzin was waiting for her. The Blond haired girl trudged up the steps to meet her utter destiny of training.
"We shall meditate first, and to do this, you must-" "Concentrate on absolutely nothing, you've told me time and again, Tenzin." Talli interrupted, as she put her fists together.
She did this for a while, before getting bored, and peeking open an eye, to see if Tenzin was looking. Talli took her chance, and crept away from Tenzin, making cat like steps down the stairs, which soon turned into a gallop, as she Firebended her way to a boat. She quietly rowed the boat away, and after a few hours, she made it to the place she longed to be, Republic City. Talli looked everywhere, and at everything, and the scent of food stands hung in the air, as she walked by them. But her eyes stopped on a large stadium looking dome. Talli rushed towards it, and up to the entrance.
"Fifty Yuans." a scruff looking guy grumbled.
Talli dug into her pockets, only to pull out some lint, a paperclip, and some scraps of paper.
"Free for the kids?" Talli asked with a grin.
Next thing she knew, she was sitting beside the dome, while the game went on. Talli's eyes decided to take a look around, only to land on some steel crates, full of who knows what, and a window, right above her. Talli pushed and shoved with all her might, until she got to crates on top of each other. She climbed upon all the lose knots and spaces, soon meeting the top window, and peeked through it. It was intense, as one team neared the edge of the water, and the other ganging up. Just as the water bender on the winning team was about to hit them all into the water, Talli felt something cold and wet shoot towards her, making her fly off the crates and onto the ground. She felt a large jolt in the arm that had landed first, and looked up at her attacker, seeing three tall men, and two smaller boys behind them.
"Give us your money kid. We don't want to force it, as much as you don't want us to." the water bender said, as another grunt held up a flaming hand.
Talli got up, slowly, but surely, and readied her good arm for a fire attack. She reeled her arm back, and slung it forward, but Talli saw no fire shoot out of her hands, but saw the three grunts being blown off their feet, and their hair ruffling, as if a gust of wind just blew them over. Talli saw the two kids move out of the way, and she looked at her hands, astonished at what happened. She dashed off back to her boat to go home, scared to death over it all. But the two boys from before came up and stopped her. Talli now got a clear view of them. The younger one looked about twelve years old, and the older one, about fourteen years old. The smaller one had black hair that was combed up in the back, and the taller one had a spiky set of hair, that didn't seemed to be combed.
"Your quite the Airbender!" the smaller boy said, as he looked on at her in astonishment.
"That's true." the older boy added, a frown plastered on his face.
Talli couldn't help but blush a little at the two.
"Thanks. But I have to go home now." Talli said, as she jumped into the boat, and rowed back to shore.
"And the names Talli!" Talli yelled to them, as they waved to her.

"Are you okay? Let me look at you! Any scratches?" Talli's mother obsessed, as she then came to Talli's arm.
It was in pretty bad shape, clearly broken.
"I'm okay, mom, but I need to tell you something..." Talli started.
Talli then told her story, as it came tumbling out. When Talli's mother heard about the Airbending, her face lit up, but then she frowned.
"We were looking for you all day! Your grounded." her mother said, as she heard of Talli, sneaking out.
Tenzin interrupted this moment, and motioned for Talli to follow him. Talli got out of her seat, her long blond ponytail bouncing behind her, as she followed him. By now, Talli was out of the itchy Airbender uniform, and in her casual comfy clothes, a red t shirt, and baggy jeans. Talli sat next to Tenzin on the same staircase she snuck down from, and Tenzin began.
"Word got around, saying you bended air this evening." Tenzin said.
He then pointed to a bucket of water, and a stone tablet.
"Turn around, and stomp the ground." Tenzin commanded.
Talli did so, and when she did the ground began to shake, for only a moment. The ground beneath the tablet arose, so high, you couldn't see the top. Tenzin quickly forced the earth back into place with Airbending, and looked at Tali once more.
"Move your hands in a spiral formation behind your back." Tenzin commanded.
Talli did this, and felt something cold and moist near her back. She slowly brought it up to meet her face, until she realized something important.
"Tenzin... doesn't this mean that..." Talli started, as her words trailed off into thoughts.
"Yes it does, Talli." Tenzin started.
