THIS IS NOT A DEATH BATTLE CLONE.
REPEAT:
THIS IS NOT A DEATH BATTLE CLONE.
I CANNOT STRESS THAT ENOUGH.
We good?
Cool.
The first two generations of Pokemon were what people thought the best Pokemon games ever.
I highly doubt that.
Every Pokemon game has their pros.
Gen 1 had the arguably the best Pokemon.
Gen 2 was the best sequel to another Pokemon game.
Gen 3 had the best music.
Gen 4 had the best atmosphere.
Gen 5 had the best story.
Gen 6 had the best characters.
Gen 7 had the best character development.
But the first two generations of Pokemon had something special: Rivals.
I'm not talking about the garbage friend zones reincarnated into humans that are May, Barry, Bianca, Cheren, Serena, Shauna, Tierno, Trevor, and Hau.
I'm talking about the rivals that pushed you to your limit.
The rivals that said "Smell ya later!" after every sentence.
I am of course talking about Blue from Pokemon Red, Pokemon Blue, and Pokemon Yellow, and Silver from Pokemon Gold, Pokemon Silver, and Pokemon Crystal.
So let's get started.
BLUE
Pidgeot
Level 61
Wing Attack
Mirror Move
Sky Attack
Whirlwind
Alakazam
Level 59
Psybeam
Psychic
Reflect
Recover
Rhydon
Level 61
Leer
Tail Whip
Fury Attack
Horn Drill
Arcanine
Level 61
Roar
Leer
Ember
Take Down
Exeggutor
Level 63
Hypnosis
Barrage
Stomp
--
Blastoise
Level 65
Hydro Pump
Blizzard
Bite
Withdraw
So, my opinion on his team?
It kinda sucks tbh.
Yes, he has all three types of the starters, that would be Arcanine for Charizard, Exeggutor for the Venusaur plus the Psychic-Type bonus, and Blastoise...for, well, Blastoise, but most of Blue's Pokemon's moves are Normal-Type.
I mean, all of Rhydon's moves are Normal-Type, and Exeggutor literally has no fourth move.
But anyway, let's see what Silver has in store.
SILVER
Sneasel
Level 55
Shadow Claw
Faint Attack
Icy Wind
Metal Claw
Magneton
Level 55
Discharge
Magnet Bomb
Mirror Shot
Thunder Wave
Gengar
Level 56
Dark Pulse
Confuse Ray
Shadow Ball
Sludge Bomb
Crobat
Level 58
Air Cutter
Bite
Confuse Ray
Toxic
Alakazam
Level 56
Psychic
Reflect
Focus Blast
Recover
Feraligatr
Level 60
Ice Fang
Slash
Aqua Tail
Crunch
And that's Silver's team. As you can see, he does a lot better job making his team than Blue does.
And that might actually be our winner.
Blue may be the Champion of Kanto, but Silver has the better Pokemon.
That being said, however, Silver has lower level Pokemon.
But come on guys, Blue's Exeggutor is literally missing a move.
But, let me take Blue's side for a bit here.
Exeggutor can stomp Feraligatr.
Arcanine melts Sneasel.
And, let's be real, guys: He has a Rhydon that knows Horn Drill.
Plus, he has a Pidgeot and an Alakazam, which have two types you'd want to have on your team. With the exception of Dragon, of course.
Did I mention he has higher level Pokemon?
And now, let's see what Silver has.
Silver's Magneton can beat Pidgeot and Blastoise with its Electric-Type moves.
Sneasel beats Alakazam with its Dark-Type moves.
And Gengar is really good, with Shadow Ball, Confuse Ray, and Sludge Bomb.
I think Silver would win this battle.
