As we left off, our heroes managed to take on the Shalour City Gym Leader, Korrina, and earned their third Gym Badge. Our heroes now make their way to Coumarine City in hopes to earn their next badge and get one step closer to the Kalos League. However, evil is always lurking in the corners of Kalos, or in this case, under the sea. Enjoy 
Our heroes had made a stop at a nearby camping ground to take a short rest before they continued their trek to Coumarine City. Their Pokemon played together in a nearby grassy field surely enjoying their rest from the previous Gym Battle. Both Ava and Elijah were preparing breakfast, it was a sort of morning ritual you could say for these two trainers. Ava and her mother had always cooked together back home, and Elijah wanted to learn. So, she agreed to teach him and he's been making very fast and efficient progress.
They finally finished creating their early morning cuisine and set it out for their Pokemon to enjoy. They themselves fixed their own plates to enjoy. Elijah began shoveling his food down his throat immediately wasting no time. Ava smiled and decided to do the same. She had to admit, she was pretty hungry as well. "So, I was looking at the map, and it seems the quickest way to Coumarine City is to cross another river like thing. However, this River has beaches surrounding the edges. I thought maybe we could take a break and relax there. I think our Pokemon would really enjoy it too." Ava announced.
Elijah's face lit up, it had been quite a while since he'd gone to a beach. Between his journeys and challenging Gyms across all the regions, he'd never really stopped to relax at a beach before. He figured it had to have been at least 3-4 years. "I think that's a great idea!" Elijah exclaimed. With this plan on our heroes' minds, they finished their breakfast quickly, packed their belongings up, and headed off to Route 12, where the beach was located.
They walked for about 20 more minutes until the reached a sign saying, "Vivia Beach" Ava smiled, "This the place." Elijah nodded and ran up to edge of the ocean, threw his shirt off, and jumped right in. Froakie went in right after him. Scyther and Litleo decided not to go in the water for their own reasons. Litleo just doesn't like water in general and Scyther didn't want to get his wings wet. Thankfully, Ava had already changed into her bathing suit seeing as there was absolutely no place to change around here.
She threw her clothes off and began to walk down to the edge of the water to join Elijah and Froakie. Fennekin decided to stay with Scyther and Litleo on the shore due its own dislike of water while Eevee followed close behind Ava. However, when it go to the water's edge it began to freak out a bit. The waves freaked Eevee out a little. Ava noticed this an held her arms out, "Come out with me. You'll be okay." She said smiling. "Once you get out deeper, the waves become calmer. I'll be holding on to you, don't worry." Eevee thought about it for a second then ended up jumping in to Ava's arms. Ava giggled and walked out to meet Elijah.
Froakie was floating on its back enjoying and Elijah was doing the same. Eevee held on tight nuzzling Ava's shoulder still a little terrified of the water, but she was slowly getting used to it. Ava finally managed to swim over to where Elijah was floating and began looking around. "Something's seems off about this place." She mentioned. Elijah looked around, "Yeah. Like the fact that we're the only ones here. It's 1pm, it's not like they're all asleep." He replied. They shrugged the thought off and just started to enjoy the fact that they were at the beach.
An hour later, our heroes were lying down on the warm, soft sand taking a nap. Eevee and Litleo were chasing each other playfully on the shoreline and Froakie was still swimming around in the water. Fennekin and Scyther were napping close to our heroes. A low grumble broke on the surface of the water and Litleo and Eevee turned to see what it was. They noticed a humongous, dark shadow moving around in the water near Froakie. Eevee called out to warn Froakie, but with no avail. Froakie didn't hear her. The shadow launched some kind of attack at Froakie making it fly all the way on to the shore next to our sleeping heroes.
The impact of Froakie on the ground woke them up and they turned to see what the racket was. They too saw the dark shadow moving about the water and watched as it disappeared under the waves. Still drowsy from their slumber, our heroes weren't exactly sure what just happened. But by the looks on Eevee and Litleo's faces, it didn't look good. An elder man came running out of a nearby beach house telling our heroes to come away from the shore and inside his house. The two trainers looked at him suspiciously, but decided it was probably best to listen. He led them inside and to his kitchen where he told them to sit and he'd explain what just happened.
"I'm sorry for bringing you two in so abruptly, but you need to understand the dangers surrounding that there beast in the waters. My name is Richard by the way. The only citizen who still lives on this beach. The others moved away in fear." The old man said. Our heroes nodded and Elijah asked, "So what exactly is that thing?" The old man replied with a very serious, story-telling tone, "5 years ago, this beach was full of tourists and people of all kinds. It was a happy place with happy people, no evil in sight. Then one night, there was a terrible storm, it tore a lot of the wildlife and structures off of the beach with fierce winds and lightning. Then from out in the ocean, came a terrible, piercing roar of a Pokemon. The next morning, that beast showed up and began scaring away all the tourists, and even attacking some. That beast has been there ever since. I have no idea how it managed to end up at our lovely beach, nor why it is so angry all the time. Some people have wondered out into that ocean and never returned, you two are lucky to still be alive I reckon."
Our heroes starred at each other in utter disbelief. "Do you know what kind of Pokemon it is?" Ava asked curiously. "No one's ever seen the beast in the light. During the day it stays hidden under the waves, at night, it gets so dark you couldn't see it if you wanted to." Richard replied. Our heroes pondered about the story they were just told while Richard kindly made them dinner. You both are welcome to stay the night here, the only problem it that there's only one spare bed, meaning you'd have to sleep together." Richard said. Elijah gulped nervously and Ava replied, "That's perfectly fine. Thank you very much."
After a great seafood dinner, our heroes headed off to bed. They laid next to each other, Elijah felt very awkward. Ava didn't mind at all and began talking to him, So what do you think about that story?" She asked. "Well there has to be a reason it's so angry all the time. Pokemon aren't just typically angry all the time. It had to have been caused by something." Ava nodded, "I agree. But what do you think caused its anger in the first place?" Elijah thought for a second then said, "I don't have a clue. But I know one thing for sure." Ava looked at him curiously, "And what's that?" Elijah smirked, "We're going in after it tomorrow."
